"Jack."
"What?"
"I love you, too."
Jack breaks the silence, "I have to go."
"Why?"
"I'm gonna get in trouble and I don't want you to get in trouble."
"But Jack...it's the Fourth of July festival today."
"Oh well..hang out with Julianne."
Julianne. I completely forgot about Julianne. Luke and Julianne. Luke is dating Julianne, he kissed me. Just as Julianne and I were starting to become friends again, Luke ruins it again.
"Okay, bye." I hug him and he breaks the hug to run back to his cabin.
I walk by myself back to my cabin.
"Hey Ky!" Julianne says.
"Want to come to breakfast with us today?" Baylee asks.
"Sure." I say.
We all walk to breakfast. There's no scheduled activities today, it's basically like a carnival. After breakfast, we walk out to start a volleyball game and we see Luke and Tim.
"OMG! Luke what happened to you?!" Julianne runs up to him.
"Jack and I got in a fight."
Julianne looks to me. "What happened?"
Luke smirks at me. I hate him so much. "It's nothing important." He says. "Trust me." He kisses Julianne.
"Obviously it's something." Julianne says.
Baylee turns to me, "Do you know what happened?"
I nod.
"Where's Jack now?" I ask.
"He's not allowed to attend the festival." Luke says.
"Awh well if he did that to you, he shouldn't." Julianne says. "You probably didn't even do anything wrong."
"You weren't there!" I blurt out.
They all turn around and look at me.
"Kylie?" Julianne asks.
I pull Julianne aside.
"Luke's lying to you."
"What are you talking about?" She asks.
"He kissed me."
"You guys..kissed?" She asked. She looked sad.
"He kissed me!"
"It takes two people to kiss, Kylie."
"Juli, Luke kissed me and if you aren't going to believe me you aren't a true friend."
"I trust Luke."
"You can't do this Juli. You can't throw away all your friends for this stupid boy! Who's gonna be left for you? Me? Not anymore."
"Whatever Kylie. Quit kissing Luke would ya?" She walks away.
"Wait! Why would Jack punch Luke if I kissed him?"
"Because he's mad." Julianne points out.
"I can't believe you. We were best friends."
"Were Kylie. Were."
