~ Flashback to 5 Years Ago ~

"Jimin! Wait up!"

Trying my best to catch up to his fast pace, we finally reached the rooftop of our highschool.

Park Jimin.

My beloved boyfriend I've been dating for about 3 years now.

I was never really the outstanding, gorgeous, or idealistic girl that anyone would fall for.

But despite all my flaws, Jimin loved me for who I was.

He had always been that optimistic, cheerful high schooler who every girl had a crush on once in their lifetime, unable to resist his handsome charm and adorable eye smile.

But for some reason, he had an unusually sad expression plastered on his face right at this moment.

Although the sun was causing his figure to appear like a dark silhouette, I could still clearly see the dejected frown on his face.

"Jimin? What's wrong?" I worriedly asked, gradually approaching him as I slowly intertwined my hands with his.

But as if he despised my touch, he quickly took his hand away from mine, grievously shifting his gaze onto the ground.

After a moment of silence, he finally spoke up.

"Hyerin, let's break up."

My heart shattered.

"W-What?" I anxiously asked, earnestly hoping that I had simply just heard him wrong.

Jimin sorely bit his lower lip as he tightly clenched his fists.

"I-I've lost my feelings for you."

And once again, my heart broke.

But if he really didn't like me anymore, why did he sound so distressed?

If he really did lose all his feelings for me, why did he look so hurt and defeated?

Is he just lying so I would hate him and get over him easily?

Is it because we're going to eventually separate since we're graduating soon?

Coming up with all these possible alternatives, I continued to hope that what Jimin had just stated wasn't true.

Whatever his true intentions were, I decided to respect his decision, although it hurt like literal hell to do so.

Unable to utter a single word from my mouth due to the lump in my throat, I just slowly nodded in response while I tried my best to fight back my tears from flowing.

Seeing my utterly broken expression, Jimin just grievously looked away from me, walking away from me as he whispered his last words into my ear.

"Bye Hyerin."

~ End of Flashback ~

"Kim Hyerin!"

Snapping back from my own thoughts, I was startled by a hand vigorously waving in front of my face.
