Chapter 15

Lucy stared out at the battle field, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Fred George, Luna and Remus were just a few of the wizards that had stayed behind that were alive. While the rest had either evacuated before the battle. The guilds still stand tall many were severely injured though. The battle was far from over and they would lose many more, maybe even everyone. Lucy decided enough was enough, there had been to many losses during this war and it was time or them to stop.

She started making her way to the front line, People stopping and staring at her, her fellow guild mates wondering what she was doing. Lucy just ignored them and kept walking. She stopped at the centre, right in between the different lines of attack and defence. He stared at the enemy with defiance in her eyes. Her hand made her way to the necklace around her neck, holding the only person who could end this now and forever.

She pulled the key of the chain and pointed it in front of her. Everyone realised what she was doing and the people who knew how dangerous it was started ruching forward calling out for her to stop, saying they could find another way. She ignored their pleas for her to stop.

"I Lucy Heartfelia, call upon your spirit, I acknowledge the dangers of summoning you, now I open gate of, THE CELESTIAL KING!!!!" Lucy cried out

There was a golden flash the stars started moving creating a portal and the appeared the King, he looked down at Lucy with a sad, mourning look in his eyes then turned to the enemy, and with one swing of his mighty sword left the enemy in nothing but dust. The battle was over.

Lucy fell to her knees, exhaustion crawling all over her body and eventually laid down on her back looking up at the stars in the sky. Natsu and the others ran over to her.

"Oh, Lucy why did you do that. We could've found another way?" aske Natsu in tears

"Not without losing so many more lives," Lucy replied breathlessly

They all gather around her, and she looked at all of them equally.

"I love you all," Lucy said

She stared up at they sky and let out her finale breath. Natsu just closed her eyes for the last time and they all stared up and the sky and called out,

"LUCY!!!!!"

They would never see her smile again, they would never hear her laugh, listen to her scowl them and they would never get to look into her beautiful honey brown eyes ever again. But they would never forget.

As her life force started to fade away, her celestial spirits started to appear, as if to say their last goodbye to their master. Then as one they converged on Lucy all touching her, a golden light surrounded them and suddenly Lucy's body was gone.

"What did you do?" asked Natsu

"We gave her a place in the stars, the place she loves the most," Loke answered

As one the people around looked up into the night sky and saw her consolation.

"The celestial maiden she shall be called. The guardian of the sky," The Celestial King announced

With that the spirits disappeared, but not before making it so that Makarov would make sure that their keys went to only the most caring celestial mage next. Makarov knew there would never be a celestial mage like Lucy ever again, and knew that the spirits would never answer to anyone else.

The group slowly made their way back to the castle, heads hung, they had won but had lost many in the process. The battle was over, but the cost was to high.
