Now :
Amelia's p.o.v

I can't get my head round it the way he just said that like he was so sure that he's going to protect me but he doesn't know he wouldn't understand.

If I could tell him if he even understood he wouldn't want me he will throw me away like the useless crap I am I can't just stay here and hope I will be safe because I know better after that time when I tried so hard to get away and all that left was destruction in everyone's life but I made a promise that night I promised that I would make her proud but I can't.

"NO I HAVE TO GO YOU DON'T GET IT"

I start crying into his chest banging my tiny fists on his chest because I just need him to let me go and give me the deal so that one one gets hurt.
"Hey, Hey, Hey shhh it's ok breath"

"Don't tell me what to do I'm trying to protect YOU!" I snap my mouth shut realising what I just said.

God your so stupid you had to yell that didn't you shut up  no I'm telling you he's going to leave you as soon as he finds out I said shut up I can't deal with it

Scanning the place we are currently in (some room in the house) I spot a bath room thinking about it I can lock myself in a bathroom and then he will leave me alone. But all thoughts of leaving disappeared when I heard to door go.

*Knock* Knock* Knock*

"Ok em just stay here I'll bring the boys in. They . Aren't. Going. To. Hurt. You."

A foreign emotion swirled in his eyes as he looked at me somewhere in between admiration and no it's not he doesn't he couldn't possibly Love me. No it must be pity yeah that's it who could love you I mean look at yourself ?. He stood and went to leave but as he put his hand on the door I whispered

"W..wait"

"For what"

"I'll get the *hiccup* door w..with y..you "

"No. You stay here"

"P..pllease d...Don't m..make m..me s sstay here" my lips were trembling now.

"Okay come here" I semi-walked semi- stumbled over to him with my bruises it's hard to walk. I think he noticed me leaning on him out of the door. I flinched as he went to picked me up.

It's been so long since anyone carried me or got close to me for something that's not a beating that it's hard not to flinch away I think I can trust him though he's done so much for me even when my conscience is screaming

Don't trust him he'll throw you away like the trash you are.

The fact he wants to protect me is comforting but he doesn't know what he's getting into.

As we get to the door another more aggressive knock sounds which makes me jump

"COLE OPEN THE DOOR NOW DO YOU WANT ME TO CLIMB THROUGH THE WINDOW AGAIN"

There were some more quite r mutters that from what I could hear were saying things like

"Shut up Alex"

"No one like's you jace why dont you"

At this cole chuckled whereas I didn't think this was funny at all

"I like you jace." I suddenly said.

I felt Cole's grip on my tigten and the fire in his eyes was unmistakable. Then I thought about what I said a bit more.

I barly managed to stutter because they were all staring at me with intense glares it's so fucking scary.

"n..n.ot l..like t..that"

Everyone seemed to calm down at that and the silence was still unnerving as much as I hate loud noises. The science is daunting

"Guyyyyyyyyysssssssss stop itttttt"

The one thing I am thankful for about Alex is he can break the scilence

"Stop what you idiot" that wasn't even a question he knows what he's doing

"Stop staring at Cole like you want to kill him"

If I wasn't scared before I am now I clearly forgot where I was

"Shit"

I want to stay here but I can't if sir finds out I'm gone... well I don't want to know. I have no clothes. And I can't bother them like this

"OMFG SHE SHE SPOKE"

"Alex she's not a mute!" A deep voice came from behind me I assume it's Cole because waittttt I'm still in his arms

"BUT SHE SPOKE"

"Annnddddd" jace butted in

"Actually" I said it with so much confidence it shocked me

"I am or was sort of still am selectively mute because of some s..stuff"

And there it goes I lost it because of 'him'

"Earth to Amelia are you okay you look a bit pale"

"Yeah I'm fine but can you put me down Cole"

Was his one word response which to be honest scared me beyond words so I zoned out and focused on my breathing.

I heard bit and pieces of their conversation it was a bit like I didn't exist really

Jace started the convo "Hey man "

I mean I don't want to bother them or anything but he's holding me really tightly and it's really hard to breathe.

Deep breaths.

"Amelia? "

"Are you okay"

"C..can you p..put mm..me d.down pp.. please"

He gently put me on the floor and my legs buckled beneath me so I just sat there staring at them all to gone to move
