"Jess just stay away" he tells me for some reason

"Why?" I ask again because he's not making sense

He looks at me like he wants me to understand"You don't deserve this" is all he says

"Talk to me" I beg

"You won't understand" he says to me

I'm about to say something back but I see tom car pulling up, Felix looks at me "don't mention this to them"

"What no-"I start saying but he cuts me off

"Please Jess" he literally begs me

"Hey kids" tom says to us

"Sorry we are late" aunt Lora starts saying but stop when she sees the look on our face "you guys okay?"

I look at Felix and then at them "yeah I saw a really big spider and I ran over here so Felix could kill it" is the only thing I can think of "well goodnight" I say and follow aunt Lora back home

I lay my head on my pillow not wanting to go to sleep but knowing I need too. I hear a ding go off on my phone. I know it's Felix he's been texting me and calling me but I been ignoring him not wanting to hear what he has to say and wondering what kind of mood he'll be in today.

I hear a light tapping on my window, I sigh loudly knowing its Felix.

I get up and go to the window, I lift it up but block it so he can come it. "What do you want Felix?" I ask him not in the mood

He sighs and tries hanging on so he doesn't fall off my roof. "Please let me in"

"Why?" I fold my arms and raise an eyebrow waiting for his response

"Well for one I'm about to fall off and then I'll break a bone and you'll have to take me to the hospital and with your driving I'll probably won't make it" he smirks

I roll my eyes but move so he can get in. We stare at one another, me waiting for him to say something and he just looks like he doesn't know what go say.

"I've been calling you" he finally says

"Yeah I know" I say not caring

"Why didn't you answer?" He asks me

"Just because you call doesn't mean I have to answer. You don't have a problem ignoring me" I tell him annoyed

He puts his hand in his pockets and looks down at his feet "I'm sorry"

"For what Felix?" I raise an eyebrow not letting him off so easily

"For how I been acting I know I'm a jerk"

"Yeah you have" I agree "but I thought we were becoming friends and then all of a sudden you give me the cold shoulder?"

He puts a hand through his hair "I don't know"

"Whatever" I roll my eyes and I'm about to kick him out

"I care about you. There you happy" he says like he's been holding that in

"Huh?" I say a little confused

He just sighs "I don't want to care about no one"

"Why?" I ask but I already know the answer

"Because that's just more people I can lose and I'm tried of losing people" he says and I can tell he's trying not to get upset

I nod "I get it I really do but I do care about you Felix and I wish I didn't either"

He laughs humorlessly "we are messed up"

"Tell me about it" I can't help but laugh

He looks at me with that serious look "if I tell you something don't get all sappy alright?"

I try and contain a smile "I'll try"

"Your kind of my best friend"

I can't help but smirk "should we get some best friend necklaces"

He playfully rolls his eyes "you just ruined the moment"

I walk over to him and get on my tippy toes and hug him.
