"Here" Felix says reaching in the back seat and handing me a shirt
"Thanks" I say as I try to dry off
I hear lighting which makes me jump.
"You okay?" He asks me confused
"Yeah just don't like lightening" I mumble a little embarrassed
"So why did you guys move here?" He asks me
"My aunt got transferred" I tell him
"I bet it sucks moving to a new place and having to leave all your friends behind" he says looking out the window
"Uh yeah I mean I didn't live there long but I did make a couple of friends there" I say
"I can't wait to move away from here" he mumbles
"It's not that bad of a place"
"You just got here you'll see everyone out for themselves, it's not a place you want to live in for the rest of your life"
"Where would you want to live?" I ask, this is the longest conversation we ever had
"Anywhere but here" he shrugs
"I've never thought about where I want to live or even what I want to do, I usually just go day by day"
"That's either really sad or smart" he says
I look at him but he won't look me in the eye he almost seems uncomfortable but I don't know if it's because it's me or maybe he just doesn't like to talk?
I hear Felix phone go off.
"Yeah" he answers "I'll be home later if you haven't notice it's pouring" he sighs "whatever" he hangs up
"Was that you dad" I ask him hoping he doesn't get mad
"Yep he was actually trying to act like he care" he stops his sentence like he said to much
"At least he called" I shrug
"Probably making sure I'm not doing anything stupid or something" he rolls his eyes
"Maybe" I start saying
"It's clearing up a little let's go" he says not wanting to talk anymore
"Ok" I nod
It takes us awhile but we finally make it safely to our house
"Thanks" I tell him
He nods not looking at me
"Okay what is wrong with you why won't you even make eye contact with me? It's rude!" I glare at him
He laughs and shakes his head "I'm trying to be a gentleman and your shirt is soaked it's basically see through" he finally looks me in the eye and smirks
I look down and he's right.
"O crap" I say and try to cover myself up
"You can wear my shirt" he gestures to the shirt he gave me
I put it over my head.
"Night" I tell him and climb out, I know my cheeks are red from embarrassment
