"Wake up, son, you have a very important task today and you musten be late...." I rolled over still tired and didn't want to get up. I sniffed the air as the smell of breakfast hit me.
" Musten isn't even a word dad." I sat up and yawned. I strechted my arms and look at my dad with sluggish eyes. He flipped his spatchela at me.
"What ever word I say is a word." He turned back around and continued making breakfast. I chuckled.
"You can't just make up words." I stood up and let the blanket fall to the floor.
"Yes I can and you aren't gonna stop me." I smiled.
"Alright alright..." I put my hands up in surrender. There is no point in arguing with that man I swear. I looked down at the picture of my mom. The only person I remeber ever being able to knock some sense into dad or at least win a fight agaist him. I looked around our living room. Simple place. A brown plain couch behind me, a few feet in front of me a coffee table with a picture of my mom on it, and to my left by a lot of feet away from me a balcony. The white drapes are closed. To the right of me is a hallway which leads to my bedroom and bathroom. Simple lay out and in front of me is the kitchen. The door past the hallway. My dad put a plate of food in front of me.
"When you gonna get a bigger place? You have a well paying job and a large some of money from your parents." He sat down on the other side of the table and put his cup of juice and plate of food in front of him.
"Father we have been through this..." I felt my eyes glow purple.
"I got to live in the shadows. Living in a small apartment and having five part time jobs is perfect for that. " I sat down on the floor in front of the coffe table.
"Father don't forget... I died..." i then began to eat my food. He stared at me.
"Well don't you forget your alive now and your my son and I care about you..."
"I don't even think I am human and stop calling me your son and you don't care... You care about how I'm gonna kill the guy who killed mom."
"No i don't... " He stared at me in the eyes.
"I could only save one of you and your mother wanted you to have a full living life... I couldn't let you go and I couldn't go agaist your mother's dying words."
"Father... you may have saved my life but at what cost? My deal with you was to kill the man who killed mom and act like nothing is wrong between us but after I kill that man I'm leaving you behind. A deal is a deal." He hit his fist against the table.
"Damit son. I care about you and can't you see---" I slammed my hand agaist the table and the window cracked but didn't shatter. I stood up angry.
"Don't you dare! You were never a father nor a husband and even if you were you sucked at it!" I stared daggers at him. He exhaled and calmed himself.
"Son I have done terrible things in my past and no matter what I do or say it will never be enough but please listen. I'm not asking you to forgive or forget what I am asking is a new chance. Please give it to me..." I stared down at him.
"I will kill that man today and then I'm gonna kill you or maybe I'll just leave you to die alone.." I turned and walked into my room..
"I won't blame you if you do.." he said in a wisper. I closed my door behind me...
