To Merry, looking at anything you ever did with your hands was absolutely magnificent. So when he saw the painting you did of him and his hobbit friends (Frodo, Samwise, and Pippin), he seemed to be even more impressed than usual. He looked up at you for a moment before he suddenly hugged you, grinning widely.
"This is wonderful," he said. "I don't even know how you do it, Y/n!"
"Patience and practice, my love, patience and practice." You hugged him tightly before you moved towards your painting once more. "It's not finished though. I really wish you would have warned me before sneaking in," you told him as you picked up a small paint brush.
"What is there left to do?" he asked.
"There is always something left to do. I'll come and get you when I am finished. And when that is, I dunno, but I'll have a big dinner set up so you'll know," you giggled. He only smiled at the prospect of food and your art.
