Chapter 33

"Hey bebe!" I said between blush "Three weeks and you'd be in my arms... Forever! I seriously can't wait" he said with a rich voice "Three weeks can totally wait" I said twirling my hair in my finger, wondering what he's done with his voice because I love it "I miss you" he sighed "I miss you more bebe" "What I say about trying to flirt?" He asked "But I'm not flirting" I replied with all honesty

"I want to see you, please break the deal" he whined "Kabeer a deal is a deal" "I don't know it'd be this difficult" he whined again "We can do this babe, one month is not too much" I encouraged "One month not seeing you is too much knowing that I've become so fond of you" "Stop being a baby Kabeer. Okay let's think about it this way, what if you went on a business trip for two months?" I asked still trying to convince him, we shouldn't meet till our wedding day

"You know I'd always tag you along" he whined again "Common Kabeer tell me what exactly you want to see and I'd try describing" "I want to see your eyes, can you describe them?" He asked "Well someone's acting all romantically sweet" I teased "See why I want to see you?" He sighed "I want to see you too, trust me" I pouted, it's been one week till we last met and I never knew his absence would have such an effect on me

I heard shuffling more like he readjusted himself or he moved "Where you at?" I asked "Outside but still around the house" he replied "Oh" was all I could say "There are a lot of stars in the sky today, it's almost impossible to notice because of the lights in the city" he said and I walked up to my window peeping outside looking at the sky

"It sure does have a lot of stars today" I said still looking at the sky "Oh look it's a shooting star" I said aloud "Look away" he said more like ordered from the tone of his voice and I looked away "Why anyways?" I asked disappointed "That's a jinn" he replied and I flinched at the sound of the word

"So what do you think of the stars?" He asked "I think they're beautiful, like diamonds shining in the sky" I replied "Not as beautiful as those in your eyes" he said making me blush "Oh please" I tried pretending that it didn't get at me "There's something odd about the sky tho" he said

"What is?" I asked now returning my gaze to the sky "The moon?" I replied more like a question now noticing the absence of the moon "The beautiful moon. I left my moon in Zaria, now she won't let me see her" he sighed and I blushed three times harder "No worries. I'd have her soon" he said and I'm pretty sure he is smirking "Boy bye!"

Now forty boxes were too much but then again I am marrying a Prince, the King's favourite son at that, six cars were gifted from different expensive brands. I never knew my dad smiled so easily, when he realised who his daughter was marrying to, the smile never left his face. Mom invited all her friends same goes with my sisters, I don't really have much friends, I invited my few dearest friends and of course I was the latest gossip for the week. Henna beautifully designed on my hands and legs, I seriously can't believe it's happening...my wedding. Today was my bridal shower and it was strictly for ladies. And when I was called to dance, I know I was done for because I don't know how to dance so I just kept raising my feet and swinged my arms gently, my day was filled with laughter and love and I could never get enough. Exhausted from the day, immediately I stepped out of the car to our compound I took off my heels and rubbed my feet, slightly limping I held my heels in my hands and walked straight to my room, everyone was involved in chatting and I am grateful they didn't notice my presence, took a shower and wore my pyjamas and a top, tying a scarf and laid on my bed. My phone vibrated indicating an incoming call and I didn't hesitate to pick after glancing at the screen smiling

"Aloo!" I greeted smilin "Hello my princess. Sounds like someone had fun" he said "I sure did" "Without me? Not fair" he said sadly "Is it possible that I see you right now?" He asked "Is you out of your mind?" I asked like he's lost his mind knowing that it's pretty late "I'm actually at your house" he said shyly "How did you? Did you? Did you scaled the fence?" I asked flabbergasted "Uhm maybe. Please I really need to see you" he pleaded knowing that he wouldn't back down no matter how hard I try to convince him, I sighed giving in

Grabbing my full length hijab, throwing it over my head, I wore my flip flops and headed to the door. Unsurprisingly people were still awake, after the random calls of amarya here and there that I shyly smiled and looked away, I finally made it outside. Dialing his number he picked at the first ring

"Where are you?" He asked "I'm outside" I replied feeling the rain breeze knowing it might rain anytime soon "Close your eyes" he demanded "Kabeeeer" I whined "Come on close your eyes" and I did as I was instructed, a piece of clothing was held against my mouth as I was dragged roughly, I tried screaming but I couldn't due to the obstruction on my mouth.

"I am been kidnapped" I thought before passing out

Okay just kidding but so I thought while my eyes were closed. God! I hate surprises "Okay now, open your eyes" I heard his voice now very close and audible and I opened my eyes slowly, taking in my environment. I shrieked seeing the creature in front of me, he was wearing a Barney outfit

"What's that you're wearing?" I asked with a disgusted face "Don't ask. My silly friends made me do it, I wasn't planning of losing one million over a stupid dare" he replied and I couldn't stop admiring him, his beard has grown so full and lengthy giving him a mature look, his voice so deep and the hollow in his cheeks got deeper, seems like he added weight, ohhh lawdddd! And I noticed he was starring too making me look away shyly

"I see you lost weight" he frowned and I honestly don't know how I've been losing weight "And I see you added" I said "Made me ten times more handsome" he winked and I see he never left his cocky self "Whatever man" I mouthed "So I know why the moon hid because it saw it's Queen" he said looking between the sky and me and I blushed "Oh please" I said

"I just can't wait to have you in my arms, knowing that you'd never leave" he said genuinely "Yeah right" I smiled "I brought shawarma and pizza" he said and I noticed that I was in fact starving, we sat on the car trunck, we ate and gist, had a little fight on who to eat the last slice of pizza and he won, he smiled over his victory chowing on the last piece laughing and I walked away angrily until I felt a splash dripping from my head till it reached my mouth "Tastes like coke" I said to myself "My hair" I shrieked

Turning to face him, he was smiling at me sheepishly with the now almost empty bottle of coke in his hand "Kabeer stop wasting food" I said grabbing the bottle from him and he frowned, I immediately emptied the remaining on him laughing wickedly as he gasped for air

"That's right baby, nobody messes with hair" I kept laughing and he held my hand making me drop the bottle as a smirk plastered on his face, I slapped his hand away "Ouch" he said rubbing his hand "Girl are you made out of metal?" He asked and I rolled my eyes suddenly it began to drizzle and then it became heavy droplets, showering us

"My hair!" I cried out "Quit being a baby Salima. Yay it's actually raining" he laughed stretching his hands to the rain like he wants to collect some "Wew shoud ju whach the Indians ju" I blabbered unable to talk probably because of the heavy rain "YOU SAY WHAT?" He yelled and I know I'd have to yell so he could hear "I SAID WE SHOULD DO WHAT THE INDIANS DO" I yelled "WHAT DO THEY DO?" He asked "YOU KNOW DANCE IN THE RAIN" I replied and he smiled like he loved my idea and I laughed "JUST KIDDING" I said laughing

"IT'S GETTING REALLY LATE, YOU SHOULD GET GOING" I advised "YES WE DO HAVE A LONG DAY TOMORROW. GOOD NIGHT THEN, I GUESS?" he said awkwardly "OH YOU MEAN SEE YOU AT THE WEDDING MY HANDSOME GROOM" I said with a wink and he gagged, laughing I went in and I'm more than grateful that they were all asleep, I groaned at the thought that I'd have to dry my hair and change my clothes
