I still remember the first time i'd ever laid eyes on you, because I was still working in the E.D. at that point in time. This flash of red went storming past me and in to Resus. I watched through the window for a few seconds, taking in the overwhelming sense of power you radiated and smiled. It was the first time i'd smiled in weeks.

You see, I was still married at the time and you were just a stranger but I knew even then that one day you'd be a part of my life in one capacity or another. I didn't even know your name. I went up to Noel on the reception desk and asked him, but he just laughed at me and told me you were Holby's real ice queen and to keep my distance before I caught frostbite.

Oh how wrong he was, my dear. Because within an hour we were working on a case together and I was so... bubbly. That's my reason number one, I should have stayed because you made me happy.
