Chapter 14

Saturday na naman. Ugh! Ayoko pa magpakita kay Cassian. I mess up our experiment yesterday. As in parang binagyo yung lab at maraming nasirang laboratory tool. Dahil dun nagkaroon ako ng award, ang mag-linis at mag-ayos para sa darating na Campus Day. Because Cassian is my partner, damay sya.

Bago ako lumabas ay inabutan ako ni Yuri ng Coffee. "Thanks."

"No biggie. Good luck. Hope you have a nice day."

"Wag mo na nga ako asarin." I pouted.

"Haha. Just go and stay alive." Hays. Lumabas na ako ng bahay. Naka-ilang lunok na ako sa bawat pagbaba ko ng hagdan. Di na ako nag-elevator dahil imi-meet ko daw sya sa floor nila.

Naka-sandal na Cassian ang naabutan ko. Naka-white shirt lang sya at jogging pants. Tiningnan ko ang damit ko. Naka white na long sleeve blouse kasi ako. Don't get me wrong. Coincidence Lang na maka-kulay kami ng damit. Let's not make it a big deal tho.

I got intimidated by his stares. Feeling ko ililibing na nya ako ng buhay. "Your 5 minutes late." He said with his infamous cold tone.

He start walking to the elevator. It took me seconds to realize that the elevator door is about to close. So I hurried.

"Woops. Wait up!" Wala talaga syang balak maging gentleman. As I enter he didn't give way so ako ang nag-adjust at pumunta sa isang sulok. He press the ground button. Just a minute and we're out.

Dire-diretso lang to. He have the distance because his legs are too long!! Yung lakad nya takbo ko na halos eh. "You Jerk! Wait up." Hindi na ako nakapag-pigil at sinigawan sya.

Gulp. "Your too slow. I have other business than being a tutor." He said and walk in his way again.

I stump my feet, and follow him. Nakarating kami sa Court ng Academy. Naupo ako sa bleachers na naroroon. May layo din to sa tinutuluyan ko at Isa pa nakaka-hingal kaya. "So now, you need to focus and concentrate. We'll try the defense. Create a barrier." Pwede bang pahinga muna ako? Napaka-straight to the point naman Kasi.

I stood up and glare at him. He match it with the intensity of his stares. Ayoko na! Sya na panalo. "How would I do that?"

"Just focus..."

"That's absurd. I don't get it." Anong klaseng intructions naman kasi yun.

"Stop talking. I'm not finish yet! So I was saying, focus and think about a barrier that is made with your element. Use your brain, if you still have one." I try imagining a barrier made of fire. Nothing happened.

"...err." ilang minutes na at wala parin.

"Watch." He then stare in a blank space and a smoke began forming, later on it burns and it suddenly make a fire wall.

"Just concentrate. Your turn." The barrier vanish in a split second. The phase is clear. My turn.

Barrier please form. Come on!! I'm summoning my fire element! Work, Work, WORK!

Ugh! "La la la la~" I start humming while thinking that the fire would follow my orders. Natuwa naman ako ng makitang may nabubuo. I continue humming and put a sweet melody. Unti-unti kaming pinalibutan ng apoy. I created a close barrier. "La la la la~~" as I come up with the high pitch the red fire is turning blue. It's now flaming with intensity.

"Not bad." He commented. "Now shut down  the barrier." He said. I step my feet with a force and the fire is starting to go down and have it's way to me. Parang bumabalik lang yung elementforce sakin. As soon as it's gone. We proceed to the next lesson of defense.
