Chapter 1

Nagising ako sa isang magarang silid. I was laying in a comfy queen size bed. Hindi kalayuan ay nakita ko ang isang lalaking nakasandal sa pader. As I trace his face I recognize him. The one who took me out of the hell place. More like my savior.

Nagtama ang tingin namin. "Gising ka na pala." He said while walking straight towards my direction. A smile follow. Ngumiti din ako pabalik.

"Thanks" Yun agad ang nasabi ko. I know I passed out when we are still at the slavery trading.

"Your welcome. Now your safe here. Mabuti siguro ay asikasuhin na natin ang mga sugat mo. Wait here and don't do too much moving. I'll just call the house nurse." I just nod in response. He then immediately went out the room. I appreciate his kindness. I will repay it someday. By one way or another.

Few minutes later the door open. The guy walks in and followed by a girl, which I conclude the nurse. She was in mid-30 if I'm not mistaken at dala-dala nito ang tray. While the guy is holding the medicine kit with his right hand.

"There she is. I want you to check her out." He gently utter.

"I'll take it from here." The nurse reply.

"Better be gentle or else you and your family will suffer." He joked and the lady chuckles.

He eyed to me and mouthed "I'll be right back."

I just smile habang tinitingnan ito umalis. Hanggang tuluyan na nga itong nawala sa paningin ko.

Sinimulan ko Ng tanggalin ang damit ko and I sit in the bed. She then prepare the cleansing tools."Ang dami mong pasa at mga sugat. Anong nangyari sayo iha?"

"Tortured. Kidnapped. Abused. That what happened." I opened to her. Sinimulan na nyang liniain ang mga sugat ko.

Later on. I'm done. I have bandage on my knees and shoulders. Tamang alaga lang at gagaling din agad 'to. Medyo namanhid din ang katawan ko at kahit diko nais alalahain ay bigla-bigla nalang bumabalik ang mga ala-ala ng paghihirap ko.

I felt hot tears run down my cheeks. "Hush hush... Your safe now." The nurse hug me kumalas ako sa yakap. I don't do hugs and it's out of my comfort zone. Weird right?

"But the memories remain. Nurse..." I don't know her name yet.

"Gia" dugtong nya sa sasabihin ko

"I'm Rose."

"A lovely name for a lovely lady. Do you have a family?" I feel down for a second

"...I have a step mother but she wanted to get rid of me. She even plan on arranging me to some folks. She never love me. My father? He died because of an airplane c-crush." At yun wala ng humpay ang mga luha.

"I'm sorry to hear your story."

"No it's okay. It's been a while since then." I tried my best to hide the pain. It's better to keep it that way. I don't like anyone getting involve with my drama.

"Akin na ang kamay mo." Inabot ko naman ito sa kanya. She closed her eyes at hinaplos ang palad ko. "May mahika ka." Ano daw?

"Po?"

"Mahika. Isa ka ring may mahika. Di ka ordinaryong tao." Sabi nito habang hawak-hawak parin ang palad ko. Ginu-good time lang ako ni Ate Gia. Sabayan nalang nga natin.

"Yun pong may Magic? at Powers? Nice!" Napatawa nalang ako. I imagined myself like avatar, the water bender. Ginaya ko pa ang akto nitong pawave-wave ng kamay.

"No! Hindi ako nagbibiro. May nagkulong lang ng kapangyarihan mo." She eyed me with a serious eyes. Namamalikmata ata ako ng makita kong nagkulay grey ang mga mata nito.

Literal na linipad ako ng hangin. Lumulutang ako sa ere. "Ah! Ate Gia." After that ay bumagsak ako sa kama. Panong nangyari yun?

Ang lakas siguro ng epekto sakin ng pang-aabuso. Talo ko pa yung naka-drugs. I have a wild imagination. It's so 3d. Napasapo nalang ako ng noo. I'm just hallucinating things. Tama. Hallucinations ko lang 'yon.

Nagbukas naman ang pinto. "Lady Gia!" Bigkas nung lalaki.

"Martin. You know it?" Martin pala ang name niya. I'm not good with names kaya diko matandaan.

"Yes. Yet I can't sense her ability"

"Hindi sya pangkaraniwang tao." nagpapalit-palit ang tingin ko sa kanila. What are they talking about? Diko sila maintindihan. Are they even serious on their topic? Diko alam na avid fan sila ng mga fantasies.

Pfft. They're turning nuts.

My mood lightens unlike before.

"Thanks for the both of you. That made me laugh. You can quit making jokes now. I appreciate it." Pagputol ko sa usapan nila.

Both of them looked at me.

I then smile but his eyebrows pulled together, his eyes narrowed. "Did you think I'm turning nuts?" His cold voice.

He just left and slammed the door.

What was that for.
