Kallie Jones.

Walking into my first-period class, I noticed an older boy sitting at my lab table. He looked to be tall than me. He had straight blonde hair, with one strand hanging in front of his face. He was wearing some sort of clothing that looked like a bunch of patches sewn together. Both shirt and pants were the same forests green. His gray eyes flickered up in my direction and stared into my brown ones. They had a hint of darkness in them, making shivers run down my spine.

In my opinion, he looked a little too old to be in the eighth grade. Maybe puberty hit him hard?

Looking around, I tried to find another table to sit at. No other seats were available, so I was forced to sit next to Blondie. I sighed and walked over to the table. I glanced at him, giving him a little friendly smile as I sat down. My eyes quickly shifted to my textbook as I opened it, reviewing last night's homework chapter. I tried to concentrate, but I could feel his eyes still on me. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, even moving my chair slightly.

But that didn't stop the staring.

"I'm Felix." He spoke in a whisper, leaning towards me as class began. I briefly glanced at him, then looked down, following along with my teacher as she read from the textbook. I couldn't focus tho. This Felix guy didn't move away. He kept staring like he was waiting for me to tell him my name.

"I'm Kallie," I whispered back, glancing at him as I said it. My eyes looked down once again to follow along, but he won't allow me to.

In one swift, quiet movement, he reached over and closed my textbook. My head turned, looking entirely at him as he slid it in front of him and grinned.

"Do you mind? I'm trying to learn. Something you should be doing too." I quietly snapped at him. He didn't flinch at my quiet outburst. He let out a quiet chuckle, then cracked a smirk. He slid my textbook in front of me again and opened it back up. I watched as he stood up, grabbing his bag off the ground. He walked around the lab table, catching the attention of the class and the teacher.

"Excuse me, where do you think you're going?" My teacher asked, crossing her arms in front of her chest as he walked towards the front of the class. "Young man, class is far from over." She added, but he just ignored her, walking straight past. He strolled over to the door without a care in the world and left, closing it loudly behind him. All eyes were on the door, then turned to me next, like I had done something.

"Kallie, care to explain your friend's behavior?" She asked, raising her eyebrows. I opened my mouth, but said nothing. I shook my head, shrugging my shoulders. She stared at me for another second before going back to the lesson. I sighed, dropping my head down on my desk, confused.

Who was that guy? Why was he so interested in me?

Creepy.

Volleyball practice ended around 6 PM that night. All of us were packing up our bags to head home. After that strange encounter with Felix this morning, I hadn't seen him for the rest of the day.

Maybe he got in trouble for skipping or something.

I walked out the front door of the school with my volleyball mates. My eyes looked up, and I stopped dead in my tracks. Leaning against the railing going down the cement steps stood Felix. He stared at me with that same smirk he had given me in class earlier. His smirk was kind of creeping me out since it could barely be seen. His hood covered his hair and parts of his face. His hands were placed comfortably in his back pockets. Neither of us moved while my teammates walked down the steps and left, leaving me alone with me.

They probably assumed he was my ride or something.

"Hello again, Kallie." He spoke. "How was practice?" I looked at him and sighed, shaking my head. I tried to walk past him, saying nothing, but he grabbed ahold of my arm. "Where do you think you're going?" He asked, jerking me towards him.

"Home," I answered. He let out a chuckle, then smirked, shaking his head.

"That's funny." He whispered, chuckling again to himself. My eyebrows narrowed, bewildered.

"What's funny?" I asked, trying to tug my arm away from his grasp, but he was stronger than me. He turned his head, looking right into my eyes. He stood up, pulling me closer to his chest. I looked up at him with wide eyes, shocked at how tall he was. I was maybe 4'11, but he was over 6 feet!

"That you think you're going home." He spoke in a dark tone, grasping my wrist tighter. Chills ran down my spine at his dark stare. "He's been waiting a very long time to meet you, Kallie." He added. My body was filled with fear.

Who was this guy?

"Kallie!"

Our heads whipped around toward the bottom of the stairs. Standing there was my grandmother, Mary Margret. Aka, Snow White. Her eyes had the same feared look I had, but it mixed with a wave of worry.

"Let her go, Felix!" She shouted, drawing her bow and arrow at him. I wasn't sure why she had it with her on the school grounds, but at this moment, I was glad she did. She aimed it right at Felix. Knowing how good she was, I knew she wouldn't miss. "Do it now. Unless you want an arrow shot into you." She demanded. He smirked at her request, then turned his attention back to me. He leaned close to my ear.

"We'll see each other again soon." He whispered. "He never fails." I looked up at him, not knowing what he meant as his head away from me. He smirked, then pushed me forward. My foot slipped on the edge of the step, making me lose my balance, and I tumbled down the cement stairs.

"Kallie." Snow gasped, rushing over to me as I landed on my stomach. I groaned in pain as I pushed myself up a little. We both looked up to where Felix was standing, but he was already gone. "Kallie, are you okay?" She asked, gently helping me up.

"Yeah," I replied, brushing the dirt off my pants. "I'm fine," I assured her, flickering my eyes to hers. They were filled with worry.

"I need to get you home right now." She said, putting an arm around me. She looked around like she excepted someone else to pop out, then quickly led me to her car. We climbed inside and headed back to the Swan-Jones' house.
