Chapter 10

"I am here master" I whispered hiding behind a sofa

"Okay so is it an office?"

I looked around and it was an amazing office. There was a desk and a chair opposite to the sofa. Behind it was an enormous aquarium. That contained a lot of fish in there.

"Yeah" I whispered "master... I am afraid"

"Don't be. I am with you, I am standing out. Don't worry just please Macsima focus." He tried to calm me a bit

"Okay what do I do now?"

"There should be a safe behind the desk. Go to it"

I made my way silently to behind the desk. I looked around but there was nothing. Just the end of the aquarium

"No master there is not, just an aquarium from the ceiling till the end" I whispered looking around

"What?!" He shouted in my ear "how?!"

"I don't know. What do I do now master?"

But I didn't hear a response

"Master?" I felt tears falling down my face. I was alone now, no one protecting me.

Don't be afraid. Everything is fine. Just go back to the vent and leave.

I was going to listen to my inner voice and go out when from the corner of my eye I saw a yellow flash coming from under the sofa.

I looked around to check for anyone. I made my way to the sofa.

We have a one like this in the orphan

Then it clicked to me. I quickly searched for the bottom on the side of the sofa. I found it and clicked on it. The behind of the sofa opened. In it was the safe standing in its glory. I quickly opened my bag for the password. I opened the safe and found a lot of things.

Money, documents, CDs, DVDs, and photos. I didn't know what exactly the master wanted so I took it all and put them in my backpack. I closed the safe. I returned the sofa how it was and made my was to the venthole. I got in and put the cover again the exact moment the door of the office opened. My heart stopped and I held my breath.

"Je t'ai dit personne est dans cette chambre" the first guard told the second (I told you no one is here)

"J'ai entendu des bruit" (I heard noises)

"Non, tu veux manger du pizza?" (No, do you want to eat pizza?"

"Oui" (yes)

I let my breath that I was holding when they closed the door. My heart beated so fast. I was crying by now.

I turned and made my way back like I came. I went out of the venthole as I reached the garden. I closed the cover like it was. And I made my way back like I came in.

When I was out of the gates. I looked around but didn't find master's van. I began crying.

He left me.

"Hey you!" I turned around to face the guard "what are you doing here?" He shouted in my face

"My dad left me and I can't find him" I sobbed loudly unashamed. That's the end.

"Ohhh. Please don't cry, how did he look like?" He kneed to be as the same level as me

"He was tall" I can't tell him master's description.

"Zin?" I turned to see another guard behind him " qui est cette fille?" (Who is this girl)

"A lost girl" he replied, then turned to face me "do you know his phone number? "

"no but I know his friend's number"

"Here take this" he handed me a phone "call him"

I took the phone and called Bumble. Luckily after the second ring he answered

"Who is this?" I heard his sleepy voice through the phone

"It's me Macsima" I said sobbing

"What the hell?"

"Can you call dad and tell him to come pick me up"

"What I don't understand. Did you forget that you are orphange or something?" I looked up to the guard to see him talking to his friend

"Call master tell him to come and pick me from the park we passed by. Now" I whispered "he will understand"

I ended the call as I saw the guard approaching me. I quickly deleted the number.

"So, is he coming?" Asked the guard with a soft voice

"His friend will call him, I'll wait for him in the park" I said wiping my tears with my selvee

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"No I caused enough trouble thank you" I hugged him "thank you again bye" I waved at him as he smiled and waved back.

I made my way back to the park. I sat on a bench and waited. I calmed down a bit as I waited. Then I saw the familiar van. I ran toward it. I spot master standing by it.

"you left me there alone." I screamed at him as I cried again "what if they found me and killed me. Didn't I matter to you?" He came by and lift me. He hugged me to calm me down

"Macsima I'll never leave you. I took the van and parked a few blocks away because the ambassador was coming and to find signal to contact you. You know that it takes two hours from our hotel to here. You stayed here for fifteen minutes" he told me softly

"That means that you didn't leave me?"

"No Macsima. You are like my daughter and I'll never leave my daughter or let anything harm her. But how did you reach me?" He asked me

I told him about the guard and how I called you from his phone and then deleted the number.

"Okay. It doesn't matter that the mission faild. What matter is you being safe" he hugged me again

"Actually" I said pulling the things out of my backpack "I found the safe hiding in the magic sofa. I didn't know which one did you want so I got it all"

"Macsima...... I can't believe it.....how .. thank you my little princess. I'll get that man down" he smirked

"I'll do anything that makes you happy" I smiled at him and he smiled back
