Laura x Reader {Requested}

The year is still 2029 almost close to 2030, you were still by Laura's side even though the group begged everyone to stay together. Laura had a different mind set, she had heard about a team called The Avengers along with a government organization called S.H.I.E.L.D.

You didn't want to leave her alone since she just lost her father and also you just wanted to spend more time with her after everything that went down in the laboratory the two of you were created in.

Your destination was New York City and look for Avengers tower, while still keeping a low profile. You've never heard of the Avengers before the more you thought about it but it seemed something that Laura had her mind on.

It was surprisingly easy to get to where you wanted, being the fact that you had teleportation powers but only took you a few distance away from your starting point. Either way you two still ended up staring up at the tower with a bright neon blue sign that slightly flickered.

Laura was the first to walk inside, you quickly trailing behind. A guard quickly stopped both of you ready to take throw you out like a baseball. Laura stood in a stance indicating that she was ready to attack at any moment.

Luckily for everyone in the room watching, billionaire playboy Tony Stark stopped the forming tension with his quirky and snarky attitude. He gave a typical side eye, but not a rude one more of a checking out who was causing the mess in his building.

He smiled at the two of you, called his wife Pepper, and gave a tour of the grand building that you hoped was gonna be your new home. And with that hope it was with Pepper showing the two bedroom room that was unisex.

She explained how they had heard many stories about the program they were in from the director of SHIELD, Nick Fury, and how they were willing to provide a home until a full plan was made.

Tony and Pepper allowed you to settle in and if needed ask any questions about your new life. You slowly unpacked your small bag of things. You couldn't help but look over at Laura every few seconds to see watch she was doing, mostly just standing around and refusing to let go of her bag.

You walked up to her and gave her a reassuring smile with a rub on the arm. She returned the smile and finally put her bag down, dumping all the contents on the bed. She stared at it for a while then turned to look at you, giving you a tight hug with a single statement that you finally heard from her.

"Thank you."
