Laura x Reader {Requested}

You stopped running catching your breath and looking behind you making sure everyone from your group was still there. As they ran by you said their names under your mouth. When the second to last child ran past you, you look over seeing Laura looking back most likely hoping her friend/dad would come to help the group.

You softly grabbed her arm turning her attention to you. She was breathing pretty hard and her cheeks were slightly red from the amount of running.

"We need to keep moving. If we lag for just a second they can catch up to us and we're lucky that we just lost them." You said to which she responded with a nod of the head.

You ran by her side, the both of you occasionally looking back to make sure you guys still had a good distance from the Reavers. When the group stopped to catch their breath once again, you felt more thoughts than before causing you to force the others to keep moving.

Sadly it became to late, the Reavers surrounded you and the others slowly approaching you with their guns pointed ready to shoot. As much as you wanted to use your gifts, there was no way you would put your friends in danger.

You look at Laura in the corner of her eye. She was looking in every way in a battle stance ready, her claws not out but ready to attack if one of the Reavers got to close for comfort.

Just when it was thought to be the end of freedom, a yell could be heard not to far from where you were standing. Everyone looked over to see Logan running with a burst of energy, attacking anyone who tried to stop him. With the opening you moved one of the cars across the area making your nose slightly bleed.

You heard a familiar female yell along with slicing noises come from behind you. When you looked over you saw Laura with her claws piercing one of the Reavers giving you a smirk. The fighting continued until it came to an end with you creating a force field and watching Logan sacrifice himself.

After a sad moment of watching Laura cry into Logan's chest then burying him, you lead the group to hopefully a safe place. You would put most of your time into Laura making sure she was distracted from the loss of her father which helped your relationship grow.
