    CJ was at the cabin. She had seen Byron's face, the light from Krystal's leg, and the aftermath of the attack on TAPS. Heidi was checking CJ's blood tests, they were unusually slow results; even for an h-u. Sebastian was overseeing her examination; he was no doctor but agreed to assist. Everyone else was there also; there was a lab below his Cabin. Even a scientist needs his own man-cave, it was equipped with its many sets of test tubes, tables, microscopes, gurneys, and a secret weapons stash. CJ was asleep; she'd been that way since she passed out in Will's jeep. Heidi was starting to worry; her feelings were all mixed together, not to mention her pregnancy hormones.

 In Peter's eyes, she was still glowing, but he got angry when he started to see what she saw, Byron and the injection. He saw the wickedness of the man's eyes, and the clandestine smile he gave. He saw the fear and struggle, he heard her mental screams, and saw her tears. The boy's eyes transferred from brown to purple, and he clenched his fists. The test tubes began to rattle as his head was focused on the ground.

    Everyone started to worry when the test tubes fell to the ground, along with the debris falling from the ceiling. Sebastian gripped his son's face in hopes of reaching his mind. "Peter, that's enough. None of this was your fault."

"She's like this...and I can't help her!" He gritted his teeth. " Why won't she wake up!?"

Everything stopped, when CJ suddenly gasped and stood out of the stretcher. Peter's eyes shifted back, and he moved to lean against a wall.

"CJ, sweetie are you alright?" Heidi asked as she handed the girl her glasses.

"Y-Yeah, Just a little sleep--" She moved, and immediately fell on her knees. Will was there beside her. She looked at Peter, but he looked away and said nothing. 

Tense sighed with relief. "Y-You scared us there, chica."

CJ nodded in acknowledgement. She looked around at everyone present. Will helped her back into the hospital bed. "W-what happened?" She inquired, she saw Peter's face; there were suddenly tears down his cheeks.

She got back into the gurney with Will's help.

Peter pounded a table, and darted upstairs; everyone worried about him. A yelp from Heidi startled everyone.

"What's wrong?" Bryce inquired, she held her heart.

"T-Talbot--" She said, Sebastian came to look for himself.

"Not good, she'll need regular doses of Adroline immediately." He ordered, they were going everywhere in the lab.

She was getting annoyed with their silent searching. "What's goin' on? Why do you all look so scared? It's just a bug bite."

"Oh, my sweet girl I--" Her voice choked up, and she left the room with her husband.

"Relax, guys. It's just her hormones, it's not like I'm dyin' or anything." 

Sebastian sighed sadly and approached her. "I'm so sorry to tell you this CJ."

She felt intense concern.

"Tell me...what?"

"The truth is, that Byron and Abbie injected you with a dangerous virus. It's...already taken over your body in a matter of minutes. Soon, you're going feel weak and tired. Adroline will cure it for awhile--

She perked up and interrupted him. "Adroline. Then, that's good! R-Right?"

He sighed again. "The Adroline will keep the virus dormant. Until you d-die from it."

Sadness was surveyed throughout the room; CJ was shocked and wide-eyed. She rested her head on Will's shoulder and said nothing.

She lifted her head and finally spoke. "When am I supposed to die?"

"CJ, I don't think--"

She interrupted with a scream. "I wanna know, Sebastian!"

His voice started to shake. "I-It will take full effect...within a year."

She looked down and closed her eyes slowly. Her best friend held her tightly as she stared calmly at the ground.
