A small fundraiser party in Taguig

sophisticated and classy.
Get everyone's attention more than
what you usually do. Make my ex
question his life decisions, Rowan.
If that's even your real name.

Good. I'll be expecting you on my

Napaangat ang tingin ni Rowan matapos balikan ang chat ng kliyente niya kahapon para sa gabing ito. Sa gilid ng kanyang paningin, nasulyapan niya ang paglabas ni Madeline mula sa magarang mansion. Muli na naman niya itong iistimahin.

  Sinalubong niya agad ito ng ngiti. "Good evening, gorgeous." Kasabay ng pag-aalok ng palad niya para maingat na alalayan ito pababa ng baitang.

  "Am I really? Or is that just standard verbatim for all of your clients?" pabirong ganti ni Madeline.

  In response, Rowan lifted her hand and guided her into a turn; the long skirt of her two-tone maxi dress flowed with her graceful movement. She looked chic yet elegant.

  "You've always been beautiful since the first time I saw you," sagot niyang puno ng sinseridad.

  She gave him a satisfied smile. "I like your glasses," patungkol na nito sa ayos niya ngayong gabi.

  Rowan wore a gray fitted shirt with dark trousers, a semi-casual look that was simple yet put together. The rolled-up sleeves at his forearms added a laid-back charm, while a slim watch rested neatly on his wrist. His glasses framed his features sharply, giving him a subtle edge. He carried an effortless confidence that made him naturally appealing.

  "And here I thought you couldn't get any hotter," she added as she delicately traced her forefinger from Rowan's cheek down to his chin.

  "Always glad to be up to your standards."

  He always delivers—never disappoints.

  Ilang minuto lang, narating nila ang venue kung saan gaganapin ang maliit na fundraiser party, Sarroza Veranda, a well-known establishment among the elite and wealthy. Rowan's role began the moment Madeline's black stilettos clicked against the parking lot pavement.

  Kung kanina, sa kamay niya lang hinawakan ang babae, ngayon ay sa bewang niya na ito iginiya papasok. Soft music played in the background as they made their way in. Hindi lingid sa kanilang dalawa ang mga bulung-bulungang nagsimula eksaktong dumating sila.

  "You naturally draw attention, don't you?" pasimpleng bulong ni Madeline.
