The Fight

I stopped the car a few minutes away from the clearing. The closer I got to the pack, the stronger I was becoming. It's like being near them gave me this strength. I ran towards the scene trying to get there on time. I knew that me getting to them was crucial. If I didn't get there, there would be many lives lost. I had seen multiple visions in my time being held captive. All possible outcomes of the fight. It left me terrified but motivated me even more.

I was almost there, I recognized the path from my visions. I was running through a path of trees, I could see something in the distance. It was them. The Cullens and the pack were on one side (in wolf form) and the Volturi were on the other. We were outnumbered. In the center, I could see Aro, Bella, Edward, Jacob, Emmet, Renesmee and a two other Volturi members. Once I got close enough I could hear their conversation.

"This amazing child, if we could but know her potential, know with absolute certainty that she could always remain shrouded within the obscurity that protects us. But we know nothing of what she will become! Her own parents are plagued by fears of her future. We cannot know what she will grow to be." Aro spoke in almost a poetic way. He was trying to convince the others that Renesmee would grow and lose control, that she could become destructive.

Knowing I had to say something I stepped in. "Actually, you can know for certain that she will remain this way."

"Avery, is it? How lovely of you to join us." He spoke to me with a smirk on his face. Jake growled and came closer to me, ready to protect me if anything went wrong. The rest had acknowledged my presence but chose not to move from their positions. We all knew now was not the time for a heartfelt chat.

"You'll have to excuse me, I was a little tied up."

"Well I'm glad you made it."

"Are you? Your friends seem to think otherwise." I said looking at Alec and Jane.

"I am truly sorry for any inconvenience they might've caused you. They can get a little carried away sometimes." Aro said stepping closer to me.

"I believe we were here to discuss other matters."

"Yes, of course. You said you were certain that the child would not pose a threat to anyone."

"I did, part of my gift is that I see the future. When I look that far away in the future, I don't see an exact outcome. I see different possible outcomes."

"But how do those "possible outcomes" give us the certainty we need." He asked confused.

"Because, of all the futures I see, one of them is guaranteed to happen. All the visions I've seen of Renesmee are very reassuring. She'll stop aging around the age of 18 and with the guidance of her family, she'll become a strong, smart and beautiful girl."

"Would you show me?" He was intrigued, he had this look in his eyes. Jacob stepped forward trying to stop me.

"Jake, it's okay." I said putting my hand on his back as reassurance and he slowly backed away. I walked closer to Aro, closing the space between us. He held out his hand and I placed mine in his cold one.

I had to focus to show him the visions I had seen of Renesmee. The visions were of her in the woods with Bella and Edward, running around playing games. Then I could see her with friends, human friends, and she had full control. Her human side allowed her to have more control than an average vampire.

"That was wonderful!" Aro said raising his hand and letting out a laugh. "Your gift is exquisite. What other gifts do you possess?"

"I can show you if you like."
