Chapter 16-I Confess My Heart

"Seriously?Bruno Mars?Taylor Swift?"

"Hey,Taylor is a whore but I appreciate her music."I retorted.

 "That's something I agree."

"So....what is it that you had to wait and tell me personally?"I asked,getting straight to the point.

"You might wanna sit down."He said,gesturing to my bed.I sat on the edge with Harry next to me.He took my hand in his.

"Ever since you came into my life,I've had this feeling that I don't know of.I-I think,this feeling is love.I need you in my life.I need to protect you,care for you.I think I'm in love with you,Amanda.And I know that love is just a shout into the void,that love is inevitable but I don't care.I love you.So,I ask you this.Do you feel the same way?"

"Well..."I don't know.I want him,but what Luke has been saying could be true...."Yes.Yes,Harry.I love you t-"And he kissed me.On the lips.

He cupped my face in his hand as he kissed me passionately.I have no experience whatsoever with kissing,so I let him control.

"Let me kiss you more passionately against the wall."He said.

Without waiting for an answer,he carried me bridal-style while kissing me and twirled.He then pushed me against the wall and kissed me (French).

After kissing for 5 minutes,he carried me onto the bed.Whoa whoa whoa,I thought.No sex.Not now.But instead,he just lay down beside me.I snuggled a little closer to him.

But of course something ruined the moment.My phone rang.It was Niall."Hello?"

"Amanda,hey it's me.We can visit Riley now."Harry groaned.I gently slapped him to keep quiet.He kissed my neck.Mmmmm......

"Was that Harry?"

"Um....no...."I said nervously.

"Okayyy....Meet you here in a few?"

"Yeah."As soon as Niall hung up,Harry asked me what was wrong.

"Riley.Gotta go to the hospital.Wanna come?"

"Okay,let's ride my bike."

"A...bike?"

"A motorcycle."

"Didn't know you had one."

"Me neither."I thought he was kidding.

"Riley Frost?"I asked the receptionist.

"Riley Frost?Floor 5,room 37."She said in a monotone voice.

"Thanks."Harry pulled me along to the elevator.As we reached the room,we saw Niall pacing outside the door.Niall looked pretty beat.He's just....he looks so sad.I gave him a hug.

"She's in room turdy-seven."He said,his head hung low.Zayn told us that the doctor will tell us about Riley's condition.

"How's Niall doing?"Harry asked Zayn.Why the sudden Niall?Zayn shook his head sadly.I went inside and saw Mr. and Mrs. Frost,her two sisters,Rachel and Hayley,Liam with Chelsea,Louis and Eleanor.I sat next to Eleanor after saying hi to everyone in the room.

"Are you here to get mad at me?Scold me?"You must be upset,Harry and all."Eleanor muttered sadly.

"What exactly happened,El?"I asked her.I'm not mad at her.

"I just....Harry likes you,okay!"She flustered.

"I know."

"You know??!"She said,shocked.I smirked.

"He told me just now,in my room."

"What happened after that?"She asked,with a hint of....um,pervertishness?

"Oh my god,we didn't have sex!"

"Okay okay."El grinned."Things are looking up for you.But not for me..."She said sadly.

"Aww El."I hugged her."C'mon.I don't want you to be sad."I said,pratically dragging her to Louis.

"Lou?"Louis was reading a magazine.Upside down.What a special guy.

"Yes?"He said,looking at El in the eye,which makes her feel all shy and nervous.

"Eleanor wants to talk."I said.

"What?To say that she's sorry for almost snogging dear Harold?"

"I did not!"Eleanor said indignantly.

"Then what?"Louis asked in mock exasperation.

Eleanor told him the whole story."So....you weren't really snogging him?"

"No!I love you,Lou-bear and I never would want to even dream of hurting you."Louis practically beamed.

"Aww El.Come here."Louis pulled her onto his lap.They're perfect for each other,I thought.

Just then,Harry,Zayn and Niall came in with the doctor.Harry came over and hugged me.I caught Louis,Zayn and Niall staring at us.We're here for Riley,I thought.I'm not really a big believer of PDA anyway. 

The doctor,Dr. Victoria Johnson,told us the news.

"She may not make it.She's in a coma right now.She actually was anorexic."What??!!!Riley?Anorexic??

Mrs. Frost burst into tears.Harry hugged me tightly.Tears rolled down my cheeks without me noticing.Harry wiped the tears away with his thumb.His touch,gentle,made me forget my problems for a few seconds.Stop it!A voice in my head said.You still can't trust him!He's a player!A manwhore!The nicer voice in my head said,Shut up!He's not!He's a good guy. 

"Let's go home,Amanda."Harry jerked me from my constant battle with my brain.After a round of goodbyes,we head home.

Uh oh.It was waaaaayy past 6 pm when we got home.My phone wasn't charged so I didn't call Mom.As I creeped into the unusually dark house,the light in the living room turned on.My mom sat at the comfy couch."Mom!"

"Where did you go?"

"To see Riley in the hospital..."

"And then?How did you go there anyway?"Time to tell the truth.

"Harry."I said.

"Oh,the neighbour.And you came back together?"

"Yeah."

"Honey,I'm telling you this gently.I want you to stay away from that boy."

"What?!Mommmmm,you've been telling me to be good,make friends!"I said,angry.What the bloody hell?!She's the one,forcing me to NOT be a home-body.Now,I can't even go out to see my best friend in the hospital?!

"I've been hearing so many bad things about him."

"He's changed Mom!He's good now!"But as the words came out,I start to wonder.Did he really change?

"Mom,he's my best friend!"

"It doesn't look like it!"And I left,doing the normal,Teenager Storm Off.

"Fine!You've always wanted me to be happy,well I am now but you're stopping my happiness!"I said,shouting over the stairs as I locked the door to my room.I sank to the floor and sobbed.I almost didn't notice Harry.

"Shhh.Don't cry,love."

"Holy-Harry you scared me!"I whisper-shouted.

"Shh...They don't know about the things we do,between me and you,our little secret."

"Harry,she told me to stay away from you."

"I know.I heard."

"I wish she'd stop trying to control me.I'm waaay happier here than I ever have been in New York.Now she's ruined it."

"You mustn't overthink this.Be positive!She'll come through."Boy,was Harry more wrong.
