"Of course," Jennie replied, flashing a smile.

"Great," Jisoo smiled back.

After class was over, Jisoo and Jennie headed straight to the cafeteria.

Once they finished getting their food, they sat down at a table no one else was at.

"Would you mind if I came over to your house again later?" Jennie asked.

"No, I don't mind," Jisoo replied. "Why?"

"Rosé has just been acting weird lately. Like she doesn't want me around." Jennie said.

"I'm sure that's not true," Jisoo assured her. "She loves you."

"I don't know," Jennie sighed. "Last night we had a fight."

"All couples fight. I'm sure you guys will be fine." Jisoo smiled slightly as she reached over to place her hand on top of Jennie's.

"I hope so," Jennie said. "Thank you, by the way. I know you probably hate Rosé and I together, but I really appreciate you listening and helping me."

"No problem," Jisoo replied. "That's what friends are for, right?"

"Right," Jennie nodded. "Speaking of friends, where's yours?"

"Lisa?" Jisoo asked.

Jennie nodded.

"Yeah, you guys normally have lunch together." Jennie replied.

"I don't know, she said she had some stuff to catch up on." Jisoo shrugged.

"Well, that sucks," Jennie said.

"Kind of," Jisoo replied. "But I get to spend more time with you, so it's all good."

Jennie blushed slightly, covering her face with her hands.

"You're so cute," Jisoo mumbled, hoping that Jennie didn't hear her.

Jennie looked at Jisoo and smiled slightly.

"You're the cute one here, not me," Jennie replied.

Crap, she heard me, Jisoo thought to herself.

This time it was Jisoo's turn to blush.

"You're really cute when you blush." Jennie stated, making Jisoo blush even more.

"Stop it," Jisoo said, hitting Jennie's shoulder playfully.

"You have got to stop hitting me," Jennie laughed.

"And you have to stop saying things like that," Jisoo replied.

"Never," Jennie said, smirking slightly.

"You're so annoying." Jisoo said, rolling her eyes.

"Shut up, you love me," Jennie replied.

"I do not," Jisoo scoffed.

"Yes you do," Jennie said. "Admit it."

"Fine," Jisoo sighed. "I love you."

"I love you too," Jennie said, flashing a smile.

Jisoo couldn't stop staring at Jennie.

God, her smile is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life, Jisoo thought to herself.

Jisoo's eyes traveled down to Jennie's lips once again.

She desperately wanted to kiss the younger girl.

For a split second, she could've sworn she saw Jennie's eyes flicker from her eyes to her lips.

Suddenly, Jisoo started to slowly lean in, making Jennie nervous.

Just when their lips were about to connect, Jisoo realized what she was doing and instantly pulled away and stood up from her seat.

"I'm sorry," Jisoo said hurriedly before she ran out of the cafeteria.

Jisoo walked into the bathroom and went into one of the stalls, quickly locking the door.

"How could you be so stupid?" Jisoo whispered to herself as tears started to flow down her cheeks. "She has a girlfriend, you idiot."

She knows they didn't kiss, but they still came so close to kissing. That made her feel horrible. What if she just ruined her friendship with Jennie?

Just then, she got a text from Jennie, interrupting her thoughts.

From: Jennie

Where did you go? You better come back to the cafeteria right now.

To: Jennie

Why? You should hate me. I just almost kissed you!

From: Jennie

I don't hate you, Jisoo. If I had feelings for you I would've done the same thing.

From: Jennie

Just get back here now. Please? I want to talk to you.

To: Jennie

Alright. I'll be there in a few minutes.
