Jo

"HEY BEANIE! CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THIS?!" I shouted, balancing the box on my hip whilst attempting to open the door with the other.

Footsteps followed as the door in front of me opened, revealing the tiny room I've been trying to get in to for the past five minutes.

"Sorry, babe; didn't mean to leave the pregnant lady waiting." Beanie laughed as I entered the room, placing the boxes down in the middle of the floor. "I was unloading the rest of the boxes from the truck on the front lawn. Those workers are awful."

"Tell me about it."

I looked around the room, the bland walls filling me with excitement. This is going to be my baby's nursery; my baby's room.

I had to find a new place now that I was pregnant; a small little apartment just wouldn't do anymore. I needed a home my child could grow up in without a problem. I want to give my child the chance to have a happy and normal childhood.

It took me a couple of weeks to find a place and another few weeks to be able to finally move in.

But that day finally came -- almost three months in to the pregnancy.

"Listen, Jo, I have to finish bringing these boxes in because I have to go to work. Don't start unpacking things without me, okay? I don't want you to get hurt." Beanie seemed all too concerned with my safety as she lectured me, making her way out the door.

It's amazing how much she's changed.

"Okay, Beanie; just be careful, yourself. The last thing I need is you getting hurt on me."

"Yeah, or dying on you." Beanie laughed loudly, but the room soon fell silent as she seemed to realize what she just said. "Oh shoot, I'm sorry, babe -- "

"Um, I think we should finish moving the boxes inside the house. Maybe I can finish setting up the nursery before tomorrow." I tried my best to ignore the thoughts threatening to rush to the front. It's best that I ignore them anyway.

"Uh... okay." And that was that. She left it alone.

I was thankful she did because I wasn't sure if I could handle anymore of this. So, I went back to doing what I usually do: working.

There were a lot of boxes I had to move if I wanted to even think about beginning to unpack tomorrow. I had to sort everything to where it belongs and in which room, and then I'll have to try and rearrange the furniture --

"HEY, BABE! COME OUT HERE FOR A MINUTE! THERE'S A GUY ON YOUR LAWN ASKING FOR YOU!"

A guy? What guy? I wasn't expecting a guy at my house.

"I'M COMING!"

Much to my better judgement, I still went out to see who the guy was because, let's face it, I was curious to see who it was. It's not every day that some guy shows up at my doorstep to talk to me (that's usually Beanie's expertise).

Exiting the house, I saw Beanie talking to some guy that seemed oddly familiar.

"Hey! This is the guy who's asking for you." I walked over to the pair, trying to ignore the scrutinizing stare from the guy as I pulled my oversized button down closed over my stomach.

"Hey, can I help you with something?" His green eyes watched my every move.

I'm not sure how long we stayed like that -- him staring at me while I stood there trying not to look bothered by it -- but he finally decided to say something.

"Are you Jo Cordova?"

"Yeah."

"Well, I'm Harry Styles -- "

"Ohmygod! I know who you are now!" Beanie shouted abruptly, scaring me half to death. He didn't seem phased by it as he curtly directed his attention back towards me.

"Anyway, I believe you're carrying my baby."
