2. Lights Out (Part 1)

   Meanwhile at Midtown Joel was walking to the front doors of the school when David pushed him down the stairs of the front doors and laughed
"Watch where you're going buddy" he said sarcastically. Joel had dropped his lunch and looked at David furiously
"One day you'll pay for all you've done to me!"
David laughed and looked at him
"Look he thinks he's Spiderman or something." David laughed again as did his group of friends
"And do you mean I'll be paying for the time I stole your homework,stuffed you in a locker,broken your nose,or the time I flushed your head into the toilet? That was the best." He and his friends laughed and walked away. Joel picked up his stuff and went inside the school.
"One day David I'll get my revenge." Joel said to himself quietly.

    Ben and Grace got off the city bus and started walking to school.
"So Grace how's everything with your father? I can see you and him have conflicting views on what happened yesterday." Said Ben
"He's just doesn't see all the good that Spiderman does. He feels that Spiderman can't be trusted." She said with a sad tone. Ben's spider sense started to tingle. He grabbed Grace's arm and pulled her towards him as a speeding taxi drove on the side walk.
They were face to face, noses touching, looking into each other's eyes when Ben said
"Classic New York taxis." Ben and Grace both started to laugh cutely together. Ben and Grace then started waking normally and continued walking to school. Ben got a text from Ethan saying
"I'm not going to school today I'm feeling sick."
Ben replied
"Get well soon :)." Ben told Grace and they walked into the school together.

    After school Ben and Grace met at the bus stop.
"Hey Grace" said Ben
"Hey Ben" said Grace
Ben sat down and looked at his phone and said to himself
"This isn't gonna get me the quality I need for the contest" he sighed. Grace overheard and said
"Don't worry Ben I have one you can use. I never use it so id be happy to give it to you." She smiled and Ben smiled back
"What would I ever do without you" he said in a joking tone and Grace laughed a bit. Ben looked at the time and realized he needed to talk to Joel
"Damn, I'm sorry Grace but I totally forgot about something I'll see you later." He said as he ran back towards the school
"Bye!" She waved goodbye
Ben walked into the library and didn't see Joel
"Way to go me. I can hold off a giant Lizard but can't keep track of time..."
Ben texted Joel
"Hey Joel where are you at?"
Joel replied
"You took too long and I had to go to work. We'll talk about the project tomorrow"
Ben facepalmed
"Good job Ben" he said sarcastically"
Ben walked out of the library and went to the bathroom
"Alright now a little bit of Spiderman"
He thought to himself. Ben put on his web shooters and put on his suit and mask.
"Hopefully there's still some information on Dr.Connors phone"
Ben crawled into the vents and crawled to Connors room. Once over it he saw the janitor cleaning
"I have to get him away from the phone" he thought to himself
"Bingo" he thought again
"Hey Stan! Mr.Lee!" Ben yelled in the vents
"Looks like they need me" said Stan thinking it was a student who needed help. Ben jumped down and picked up the cracked phone and went through the text to a private number. One of the text read
"Meet me by the bar at 12th and 13th street 7:00 sharp and don't be late or else."
Ben but the phone in his suit and swung out the broken glass window.
"Got the time and the place now all I have to do is wait."

    Ben was laying down when he heard footsteps and someone taking they
"Im here, I'll get the job done" said the man in a black hoodie
"Looks like Dr.Connors is here for a quote on quote job" he said to himself
The man approached the circuit breaker and started messing with it
"He's probably gonna take out someone in the bar, I have to stop them" he said to himself
Ben shot a web at Dr.Connors hand webbing it up to the wires
"Connors!" Ben yelled
Dr.Connors started panicking and tried pulling of the webbing. As he was pulling the wires he pulled too hard and he was being electrocuted.
"AGGGHHHH!" He screamed in pain. The wires didn't stop. His hood fell and Ben's eyes widened. It was actually Joel. Joel kept screaming in pain, then it started to rain making his electrocution worse. Ben jumped down and tried pulling Joel away but he too got electrocuted.
"AGGGH!" Ben screamed in pain along with Joel. The circuit breaker exploded sending Ben into a car and Joel into a wall. Ben had a burn spot on his right arm.
"Owww...."
He got up and checked on Joel but got no response. Then Joel bolted up his veins glowing blue
"YOU!"
Electricity shot out of his mouth and it launched Ben into the street being hit by an oncoming car. Joel looked at his reflection in the water and got angry and confused
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!?"
Joel surged with energy and walked towards Ben who was laying down in the street
"I....didn't...mean....to...hurt....you" said Ben lying on the floor
"LIES!YOU'RE JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER BULLIES! IM DONE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!" He looked at Ben furiously and then pointed his arm at him
"I'm going to rid the world of bullies startng with,you"
Joels arm surged with electricity. Ben shot a web over Joel's shoulder.
"You missed" said Joel
"Wasn't..aiming for you" Ben web pulled a dumpster into Joel sending him straight into the car that hit Ben. Ben got up as police arrived. Carson got out of his car and pointed a gun at Ben
"You put your hands up!"
Joel got up and his veins started glowing a bright blue
"ENOUGH!" Joel shot out electrcity everywhere not in control of his powers. Ben saw a bolt of electricity heading for Carson and without hesitation jumped infront of him and took the shot for him
"AGGHHHHH!" He screamed as Ben was electrocuted.
"What the hell...." Carson jumped over his cop car and called for back up
Joel looked at Ben as he layed on the wet street with smoke coming off his back
"I want you to remember who I am. I. AM. ELECTRO!"
Joel charged up a shot
"Good riddance, Spiderman"
