Study shows that almost 1 in 5 Australia's experience mental illness. That's just in Australia in some places it can be higher or lower but that doesn't change the fact that mental illness is a big thing in this day and age and it's something that we need to talk about and not turn a blind eye to. Study shows that most people who commit suicide are one's that have a mental health problem. It is also shown to affect teens and young adults and is something that effects people's everyday lives. It's a big thing and i think it should be taught and talked about more in school for the exact reason being that in a simple classroom of about 20 - 25 young adults there is about 8 of them that will experience a mental illness/health problem and the ones that do are usually silent about it because it gets so frustrating for them to talk about it when people these day's just don't care. I think I've had about two friends kill themselves this year due to mental illness. I can not express how important it is that if you have a friend who has or is going through mental illness, is that you don't treat them like a burden and you don't look at them as if they are no longer your friend anymore. The person who was once your friend is still there there's just something that they will need help with and it's important that if you can't handle it that you atleast try and seek help for them. If you are dealing with a mental illness here are some site's that could help you if you are not comfortable talking with your doctor.

I think it is important for people to know; never ever give up on someone with mental illness. When 'I' is replaced by 'We' illness becomes wellness.
