Habitat: coniferous forests mostly ponderosa pine.
ALS: Three to four young GP: 43 days. Young are blind and naked when they come into the world.
Range: Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. Can also be found in Mexico in the Sierra Madre Occidental.

Western Gray Squirrel

Diet: Pinecones, acorns, some berries, fungi, bark, sap, and insects.
Habitat: Woody areas with preferably coniferous trees.
ALS: Three to five young. GP: 43 days. Young are born blind, deaf, pink and naked. WT: 10 weeks

Range: Northwest parts of the United States like starting in the state of Washington then Oregon, California and stopping in the Northern parts of Nevada.

Habitat: Mixed forests
Diet: Nuts, seeds, insects, carrion, and bird eggs.
ALS: Three young.
PLS: Six after a gestation period of 44 days. Young born naked. Weaned after 8 weeks.
Found throughout the Central and Eastern Part of the United States.
