Remember how I said Uncle Michael had set me up on that blind date? “Yes.”

Remember how I said that I was with Elaine? “YES!”

Now do you remember how I said she was the biggest bitch in the whole wide world, and because of an incident in 2009 it caused me to run away when I saw her sitting there at the booth in that restaurant in 20011 for the blind date your Uncle Michael had set me up on?

“YES!” Anyways, do you want to know what happened?

“YES!” Do you Kacie?

“Yes I do dad.” Then I have a simple question for you. Do you trust Uncle Michael?

“I kind of do?” That was not the answer I was looking for. I’ll just move on to the story of something that happened.

~2011~

The band has been together for a while and we were starting to become good friends now. Even though Ashton was the oldest, he acted like he was our age and at times he acted this way at the most inappropriate times ever.

Your Uncle Luke had a friend who was visiting all the way from Canada and he had decided to bring her over to Michael’s house on a night where we all decided to randomly chill out. As we all sat around your Uncle Luke simply said: “Don’t hit on her.”

This happened after my incident with Elaine so I was—as weird as it sounds—desperate for some female to be around and now that your Uncle Luke had brought the person along I knew that I wouldn’t be able to resist her.

But then your Uncle Luke started to describe her and what she liked doing and a really weird popped up in my head. “She’s really into sports. Ice Hockey, Badminton, Swimming, Football, Touch Rugby, Skiing and a lot more.” At the mention of that I imagined a rather muscular woman who looked like she was better off being a man.

“She’s got gorgeous brown hair.” Your Uncle Luke dragged on and on about her to the point I felt like throwing up because the image—in my head—was just too weird.

Eventually the doorbell rang and I cringed at the sound. Not really wanting to see her in real life and boy was I in for a surprise. “Hey!”

“Hi Lucas.” My heart dropped. Her voice was angelic, sweet, and I absolutely loved it and I slowly got up from the couch and moved to the front and standing next to Luke was someone I would describe as a Greek goddess. I was blown away; she looked completely different than she did in my head.

Alright, maybe the image in my head was overexagarated but you can’t really blame me.  “This is my bandmate Calum. He plays the bass.” I couldn’t stop staring at her. I just couldn’t. She was absolutely beautiful and I knew that I had to go on a date with her.

But with Luke around I hesitated and just shook her hand. Smiling at her before going back to the living room.

And that kids is how I met your mothe-. “MOTHER! God you finally sa-.”

Mothers best-friend. “WHAT?!”

That is how I met your mothers best friend. Auntie Nicole?  “GOD DAMN IT DAD!”

Hey, I’m the one telling the story here. All this happened way before you guys were conceived. So let me continue. “Can you do your date with Elaine?”

Later Kacie. Once you learn to not trust Uncle Michael.
