As Maddie Finn and Caleb entered the room we all greeted each other and hugged except for Maddie and I we awkwardly shook hands... everyone took notice.
"Hey princess" Finn said as his eyes traveled down my body all the way to my feet then looked back up at my face
"Damn looking nice brown" Caleb said before Finn could get words out of his mouth
I giggled
"Shut up Caleb" Finn said to Caleb rolling his eyes
"You were thinking it" he whispered to Finn as he passed him to get out the door, but I heard him and blushed
He turned to me and grabbed my hand
"You're looking fine tonight mills" he said laughing I laughed too
Then we were on our way, leaving Sadie behind because she had to study
As we walked down the hallway finn nudged me
"What's up with you and Maddie" he asked me
God how I was hoping no one would ask
"Oh uh, she stole my shirt one time and never gave it back" I blurted out, I was obviously lying.
Finn looked at me
"Oka-"
"Wanna' know the truth" I cut him off
"Yeah"
"Like a month ago, while I was with Romeo, he cheated on me with her. And I knew it wasn't her fault and so I decided to let it go but it's still kind of awkward." I rambled
"Oh, I'm sorry" Finn said not know what else to say, he looked shocked... what I told him wasn't that shocking.
"It's whatever, her and Caleb are cute... how long have they been together?" I wondered
"Like four months" he said. his face still shocked.
"Oh" I said with now the same look on my face
"Shit." I said, realizing that Maddie had cheated on Caleb too
"Yea."

"We're here bitches" Maddie shouted throughout the whole car
We all stumbled out of the car due to how little room we had
I looked up at the house, it looked like it came straight out of a movie... dancing colorful lights streamed out of the windows so did pounding music
"Hey be careful about your arm tonight" Finn said looking down at the bandage that was still wrapped around my arm
"I knoooow Wolfhard. Let's go inside" I said back to him
I hadn't told anyone but, I had been depressed that month.. more then usual, might be because of my busy parents or just my feelings or because school had started but I needed this night. A night where I could just be happy and free. A night that I could dance my heart away. This is going to be that night, I told myself.
