Finding what i didn't know was missing

"Hey did y'all bring y'all stuff?" Alexis asked me and Jackson when we got in the class room.

"Yes i did" I said patting my bookbag.

Alexis look at jackson waiting for him to answer. Jackson looked up from his phone. "oh sorry yeah I did" he lifted his duffle bag in the air and sat it on the desk.

"Mr Mclovet you know we do not put bags or any other material on our lab tables" our teacher said.

"Well what about the lab materal?" Jackson sarcastically asked. The teacher sighed.

"Mclovet I'm not doing this today just take the bag of the table"

"Yes sir thats all you had to say" Jackson took his bag of the table then put it under next to his chair and sat down.

"You always have to mess whith that man" Alexis said laughing.

"Right" I added.

"Man what ever he always messing with me" Jackson said and wayved us off.

"That's because you never listen" I said pushing his shoulder playful. He just wayved me off with a laugh and went back to his phone.

The bell rang for me to go home but of course I can't go home because Alexis is my ride so I'll just chill in the library. I pass by the nursery on my way there "oh June we miss your sister, how is she?" Lisa's nursery teacher asked.

"she's good. We moved so the girls moved schools as well but this is my last year so of course I still go to school here" god I hate how good and quick I'm getting with these lies.

"oh okay, well tell her I said hey and here give here these cookies she loves them" she handed me a bag of cookies and I smilled and said

"Thank you she'll love it" she smiled and went back into the nursery room.

I got to the library and sat in the back where they had cozzy shairs and furry bean bags. I sat in a chair and took out my book to read while I wait. I get a text from jimmy asking were I was so I told him to come to the library.

"What up man" jimmy said slapping the back of my neck before sitting down.

"just ready. Why are you not in class punk" I said laughing a little.

"Man we gots two weeks left so I'm over it, I know I'm graduating and that's all that matters" I nodded my head agreeing. "Hey but I wanted to talk to you" he said lowering his voice.

"About what?"

"Okay it like, I rememba when I mention old dudes name and you flipped out and left, and then at the mall it seemed li y'all had some tension between y'all or something" I knew who he was talking about but what was he trying to say?.

"Why are you saying this?" I asked.

"Because you know I asumed you knew him and everything like that so I asked alexis if she knew him and her and that boy said you talked to him"

"Well I did" I said slowly. I felt guilty for not telling my best friend.

"Why didn't you tell me man? and why it seem li you feel awkward when ever I mention hi name and shit?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't even tell Alexis and them they just assumed but I never said no so that's how they knew"

"Why was you keeping it a secret? Like I'm serious man I feel like you was tinna hide sometin if you didn't even tell me"

"Well..." I sighed. here we go again "its not like I was trying but he didn't want anyone to know that he was gay so I told him I wouldn't tell.. "Yeah but you tell me everything" "I know you were the only one I was going to tell but..." I srugged my shoulders.
