// Draco //

"Where the bloody hell are we?" Ginny asked. "The Greengrass residence," I groaned. I banged on the door two times which more or less was a knock. I heard a shrill voice shriek in surprise.

The door swung open revealing a grinning Astoria in a short black dress. She smirked at me, "Well hello, Draco. What marvelous thing brings you here?"

I marched inside, teeth gritted so hard to make sure I didn't punch her, not until she showed me where Hermione was. She backed up, the smirk disappearing from her face and a weary look grew in her eye as I ran towards her. She ran into the wall behind her, grunting in defeat.

I growled at her, "Where is she?" Astoria decided to play Slytherin, "Who?" She asked, managing to smirk once again. I pounded my hands beside her head in the wall and she screamed. "If you know what's good for you, you will show me where she is."

"Never." She growled. There was a thud coming from the stairs to the second floor. I glared at Astoria one more time before I followed Ginny and Weasel up the stairs towards the noise.

"Hermione!" I shouted. There was silence. My hope plummeted. It was probably just some stupid house elf.

"Dr...o!"

//Hermione//

My heart jumped the same time as my feet. I launched myself to the door, pressing my ear against it once again. The voices were muffled but when it went silent I flung my hand at the door, wincing at the contact, "Hey!" I screamed.

Another muffled voice. This one seemed higher and more urgent. I waited for the voice to sound again, but it didn't, so I did. "Draco!" I yelled, hope weaved through my words. Footsteps, shouts, thuds.

"Hermione!" A clear, crisp voice rang through the air. I almost sobbed in relief. "Draco!" I shouted back. More footsteps. "'Mione, where are you?" desperation rang through his voice and a sob wracked my body. "Here!" I yelled. He growled in frustration, "Keep talking 'Mione." He said. I nodded, even though I knew he couldn't see me.

I cried, "I'm sorry, Draco. I believed her. I'm an idiot and a pathetic wife. I'm so sorry-" I choked on a sob and I saw two feet through the space of the bottom of the door. "You don't have to apologize, 'Mione." he paused, "What spell do I use, 'Mione?" I chuckled and said, "A simple alohamora should work, it wouldn't work from this side of the door, the room is magically sealed."

I heard him mutter the spell and he flung the door open, revealing my husband. The husband who should've given up on me, realized i was an idiot and walked away.

I couldn't move and my knees buckled beneath me as a fresh wave of guilt hit me like a tsunami. Draco caught me and pressed me to his chest so tightly I could feel his heart beat.

"Hey," he shushed me, "'Mione, look at me." he hooked his finger under my chin and lifted my face to his, millimeters away from his lips. "It might not have been the best decision you made but guess what, I forgive you." And with those three words a knot loosened in my chest.

I smiled at him and pulled him into a kiss.

A kiss i've been waiting far too long to share with him. But he was here and so was I and that was all that mattered.
