Betrayal:
Falling out the door I stumbled on the floor
Crying and gasping and wanting to get away
The pain tore my chest apart as I gripped my T'Shirt for dear life
Hoping and praying that it doesn't end this way
But the betrayal is still raw
There's no numbing on the horizon
I felt everything as I replay what I just saw
I couldn't unsee what I just laid my eyes on
Maybe it's just a misunderstanding; I prayed
As I double over, my tears mingling with the rain
Maybe it wasn't your fault; I begged
As the image played on a loop in my head
With arms entwined and sweat mingling
I know the hope and prayer was futile
Cause there's no way to misinterpret anything
As it's still clear as day and she and I are not even the same size
Slowly I clambered to my feet
Willing them to move
As the desperation to get away kicked back in
Despite how my body disapproves
I take one step then another as I put myself back together
Leaving behind the memories that we made as I tried to let go and forgive
Learning to love myself before I love another
Learning to take care of me and for myself I learn to live
