CHAPTER 54: Date

We got to the mall. He walks coolly like he's not wet from rain.

"I never wished to see you today. Nor bath in rain and freeze at the mall. Now I'm stuck with both" nanginginig na sabi ko. Ang lamig.

He took my hand and led to a boutique.

"Hi Maam, Sir ano pong hanap nyo?" tanong ng saleslady.

"Find her something comfortable to wear." sabi ni Tristan. Then he headed to the men's section.

Di na ako nagreklamo. Namili ako ng isusuot. Gusto ko nang magpalit ng damit.

Ang mamahal ng mga damit dito.

I said to myself. Hindi tuloy ako makapili.

After few minutes, nakabalik na si Tristan. He's dressed up nicely.

He looked at me with puzzled eyes.

"Still not done?" tanong nya.

"Wala akong mapili. Ang mamahal naman ng mga damit dito. Sa depstore nalang ako bibili.." sagot ko.

"Seriously?" he boredly said. "Come on pick anything you like. I can buy this entire store right now, if you want me to."

Inirapan ko sya. Mayabang pa rin.

Tinulungan ako ng saleslady. Nakapagpalit din ako sa wakas. He paid the clothes. Dinala namin ang mga damit namin na medyo basa pa rin sa isang laundry shop sa mall.

"Babayaran ko yung ibinili mo ng damit ko." sabi ko.

"Ganyan ka ba? Hindi ka ba sanay ilibre? Di ka ba tinitreat ng Boyfriend mo?" tanong nya.

Hinarap ko sya. Before I can say something, he held my hand.

"Ok, sorry. I should shut my mouth now.. " he smiled at me.

Hindi ko na itinuloy ang sasabihin ko. I took my phone and called my mother. Sinabi kong malilate ako ng uwi.

"Kasama ko si Tristan 'Ma.. Don't worry" I said. I bid bye afterwards.

Tristan just eyed me the whole time.

"Ok lang bang sabihin mo na kasama mo ako? I mean di ba kelan mo lang ako nameet?" he asked.

"Mas ok na yung alam nya kung sinong kasama ko. Para if ever na may mangyaring masama sakin, alam nya kung sinong ipapadampot" I jokingly said.

"Grabe ka naman"

TRISTAN'S POV

We watched a romantic comedy movie.

I was amused by her giggles while watching the movie. Her sweet laugh, I can say atleast I saw something genuine from her. The first time I met her, I always noticed her fake smiles.

Nang matapos kaming manood ay nagyaya akong kumain. Sumama naman sya.

"Steak. I want steak" she demanded excitedly.

I smiled at her joyful act.

"Okay, as you wish" I said.

Dinala nya ako sa isang steak house.

"Paborito ng Fiancé ko ang steak" she said while we sit down.

"Pareho pala kami" I commented. The waitress took our order. Afterwards, I stared at her.

Her eyes met mine.

"Bakit?" tanong nya.

"Masaya ka ba?" tanong ko.

"Yes" tumango sya at tipid na ngumiti. She's so beautiful.

I held her hand. "The other day, you asked if I like you.. I guess I have the answer now."

Hindi sya sumagot. Just waiting for the next thing I'll say.

"I do. I like you" I said without hesitation.

I saw how she blinked her eyes. Then slowly smiled na parang kinilig. She looked down.

I squeezed her warm hand. It gives me a familiar feeling. My heart is beating fast while staring at her.

"Hey, look at me" I said. Her cheeks are red, still trying to avoid my eyes.

I chuckled. She's so cute.

Dumating ang order namin at kumain na kami.

"By the way, sabi ni Zeus, binasted mo daw sya" nabanggit ko maya maya.

"Yeah. Eh ano naman?" sagot nya.

"Come on. Zeus is a good catch. I wonder why you turned him down" nagtatakang sabi ko.

She just shrugged her shoulder like its not a big deal. Magana syang kumakain. Nanahimik nalang ako.

After we ate, dumaan kami sa arcade.

"Gusto mo bang maglaro?" tanong ko. She's just looking at the machines inside.

Umiling sya. "Wala. May naalala lang ako"

"Boyfriend mo na naman?" tanong ko.

Tumango sya. "Nagtayo kasi sya ng arcade dati. He promised me na kaming dalawa ang mag oopen nun. Pero bigla nalang syang umalis.."

I'm feeling a little annoyed by her stories. Whoever her boyfriend is, he deserves a punch in the face.

"Ilang months na ba kayong di nagkikita?" nausisa ko. Tutal naman sya ang nag open.

"Siguro nasa three months din kaming di nagkita" sagot nya.

"Natiis ka nya ng ganun katagal?" I frowned.

She just smiled. "Ok lang yun. Masaya naman ako dahil nakikita ko na sya ulit paminsan minsan.."

So nagkikita na pala sila ulit.

Nawala na ako sa mood at nagyaya nang umuwi.

Hinatid ko sya sa bahay nila.

"Salamat sa treat. Ingat ka sa mag uwi" sabi nya bago bumaba ng kotse. Pinigilan ko sya.

She looked at me wondering.

"Can I call you tonight?" tanong ko.

Tumango sya. "Ok"

Hindi ko pa rin sya binibitawan.

"May problema ba?" she asked in her sweet voice.

I think I'm doing something wrong because she's clearly inlove with someone else but I want to see her again..

"Pag may free time ako, pwede ba kitang dalawin?"

She smiled at me and then nodded. She leaned closer and kissed my cheek. "Bye" and got down from the car.

What is she doing?
