Voices.
Fareeha had stirred in her asleep, eventually coming back to reality, her eyes darting open quickly. The voices she'd heard... they sounded not too far away. There was maybe 2 of them, she couldn't tell exactly. Her curiosity got the best of her and she decided to investigate.

Hopping down from her perch, she made her way towards the noises. She hoped it wasn't anything too serious, for she was unarmed. Worry was never good for the mind, so she left the thought at the back of it and continued on, resting her hands against the trees for support.

There stood two figures, not too far away, it was too dark to tell what they looked like. Fareeha wanted to get a closer look, they didn't seem like villagers.

She hovered herself along, keeping hidden behind the trees. She felt as if she were stalking her prey in a vast, grim jungle, but the irony in that was all too known. Fareeha was the real prey in this story.

"Where is she?" One of the voices growled, at the other. His voice was so.. horrendous.. it sounded as if he was decaying right in this moment. Such a voice couldn't have belonged to anyone good, let alone someone she would trust.

"We'll find her.. we have to, at least" The other said grumpily back. The others voice was more of a grumpy old man than the others. He seemed irritated, not necessarily at him but maybe something else.

Crows flourished from behind her and scattered, their cries shredding through the silence. The figures turned their attention towards her direction, giving each other a look and taking off. Fareeha panicked, turning to run away but she was greeted by a male just a bit shorter than she was, pointing a bow directly at her face.

His skin darker than the night itself and his eyes shown pure white, he gave her a menacing glare. "Do not move, girl"

She was frozen in bewilderment, not sure what to do. The two figures came up behind her, becoming silent once seeing the male.

"Good job," The grumpy one had half heartedly complimented, "Now let's take her back to her and get this over with"

Her..?
Who was this her they're mentioning?
Is she gonna kill me?

Pharah wouldn't stand for this, nobody takes her captive. She only thanked the Anhur that her mother had taught her martial arts.

Pharah uppercutted the man with the bow and arrow and jetted off in haste. She tried to hurry off as fast as she could, but started to jolt downward as she felt the bullets pierce her suit.

'No, cmon Raptora..' She mentally pleaded, trying to boost herself back up. With every bullet that had penetrated her armor, she dropped further and further. This could not be happening..

Panicking, she looked all around below her, hoping for in the least a hiding place. She landed, her suit starting to wither away. There wasn't much choice, but she knew she needed to hide. The woman ran behind a tree, shielding herself away from the men after her. She only prayed they wouldn't find her.

"Where are you hiding, Fareeha.." The terror-inducing voice creeped out of the blue. She wasn't sure what scared her more; the voice or the fact he had known her name. How did this man know her name anyways?

She felt herself shiver, in fear and the cold of the night. Praying her teeth didn't chatter, she clenched them and closed her eyes, laying her head against the tree. What would she do? They had her cornered, 3 to 1. She couldn't fly, that was out of the question. Her armor was weakening against his bullets. His bullets.. what had been in them anyways? Nothing had ever broken her armor like that, these people could not have been human.
