“What...” Elliot didn’t know what to say. He had never thought how much Ryan would affect his world that he only just discovered. He felt like he had been cheated on. To his surprise Ryan was taking it rather well. “...What is he... erm... doing... here” He asked. The pauses seemed to create a static noise in his mind, and for some reason it made him feel more distant from the world he just found than the one he had previously thought was sub-par. The pauses echoed throughout the room. Charlie felt an undying sympathy towards him as, in a way he understood where he was coming from. On the other hand, Razak had expected this sort of approach due to his experience as a teacher but it was only here that he truly realised, the emotional intelligence and power of Elliot. He gathered the courage to say; “He’s my other student.” This made Elliot feel, betrayed.
“What... do you mean?” Elliot said, again pausing.
“Since we met and I’ve been teaching you, Charlie has been with Ryan teaching everything i have been doing with you-“
“-Don’t... bother... I...”
“Whats up Elliot?” Ryan announced “You too caught up in your little world to feel anything for your brother.” Charlie looked at Ryan with a sense of disappointment. Ryan, kept his gaze on Elliot who had previously stood there as confident as any man should be but now, seemed to crumple and deteriorate.
“No. Im just a bit...-“
“Sad...” Ryan began to approach Elliot slowly “...Depressed...” Elliot wasn’t looking at him, he looked at the ground longingly as if he was expecting something to change, going over what he had done wrong. He couldn’t think of anything he done wrong. “...Lonely...”
Charlie started to walk behind Ryan but Razak held him back. He was interested to see what Ryans judgement was. Over the past few sessions he had with Elliot, he had grown to admire how he was taking the changes so admirably. “... Lost...”
Elliot felt a tear start to gather in his eyes. It trickled too delicately across his cheek to register in his mind because his head was filled to the brim of many thoughts of meaninglessness. “...Is there anything worth a damn in your head...” Ryan continued. “... I hope Charlottes got something to work with-“
Elliots ears went numb and he couldn’t hear anything. The saturation in his eyes went and everything turned bleaker and blander. Like a darker filter had overcast his eyes. His body felt light and swift like air. He looked at Ryans face and saw nothing but hatred for him. The veins in his head were literally pulsating out of every inch of his body. The shear power overwhelmed his judgment. He screamed almightily like he was commanding every single molecule in the world to do as he insisted. “No!” His head felt large and heavy like a hammer. He pushed his head forward with such force that the sweat that built itself up on his forehead rippled to the back of his neck. And when the hard part of his head hit the soft part of Ryans nose, he heard a thud, a thwip, a crack and a large vein burst in Ryans nose. It sent small rivers of metallic blood trickling down his nose.
But he wasn’t done there.
Without hesitation, whilst listening to the shockwaves sending echoes through the room that blew Razak and Charlie off their feet he raised his fists. His eyes, drawn to his brother’s chest. The other hand stood like a target for him to aim. He took that hand away as his other reached out like a massive clattering hammer and collided with his chest. The power was so almightly and god-like that Ryans body flickered through the air and battered against the opposite wall which was probably 15 feet away. Ryan would have kept going if it wasn’t for the wall behind him. Elliots fist was so full of power and sheer momentum that his feet had to stop himself from going over itself and land on the floor in front of him. Dust seemed to overwhelm the place Ryan hit. Razak and Charlie rose to their feet in dismay. Shock. Elliot’s eyes were still watery. And the cracks in the concrete seemed too deep.
“Take him to the Doc.” Razak said never looking at Charlie for a second. Razak approached Elliot with a feeling of guilt; he had let this happen. He slowly opened his arms wide to hold Elliot. Still, in disbelief and crying.
