Invincibility overwhelmed his mind, his thoughts spread through his ideas with rage and anger as he begun to walk back to the ball court. He dragged Chris by his bag, with his nose bleeding all the way down his shirt and tie along the cold concrete unconsciously. Elliot stepped through the door reduced to glitter and shards.
His commotion spread throughout the school and created a certain heaviness in the air that can only be described as like a wave of pressure that dwindled in the air. A young man, dressed in the school uniform stood looking over the bench area that Elliot once was in a classroom situated on the first floor with a sense of eagerness. Mr Fiennes ran to the door with cold sweat dripping down his bulging forehead and asked in a exhausted tone, “How long does it take you to get to the ball court-“
“30 seconds.” The man said and walked out the classroom. 30. He pushed past Mr Fiennes and began to walk with a overwhelming presence down the brick laid corridor that lead to the stairway on his right. His boots echoed a sound like a bass drum, heavy and steady.
29.
He turned and threw his legs, one by one, down the stairs with a mixture of rush yet a feeling of patience that steadied his feet and made his thoughts appear more vivid.
28.
Elliot had gotten to the ball court and had let Chris go that made it appear like he dropped to the floor dead. Which gathered an uneasy atmosphere around the place. As the man, with heavy shoes, was just getting outside.
27.
Elliot felt outraged and furious at the site of the ‘friends’ of Ryan that he had forgotten their names and so their identity and had no belief in their lies nor sympathy for their misfortune. In a way he felt heroic. He screamed for their attention with his throat burning and fizzing with such passion that it created nothing but a momentary silence. Whilst the man with big shoes got more and more close to the ball court.
26.
Ryans friends had heard his battle cry yet didn’t feel intimidated by his aggression and instead grew more eager. One of them whistled to numerous groups on the other side of the ball court, and became aware of the threat. They formed together like a pack of ravened creatures bent on destruction and pain taking strong yet careful strides towards Elliot.
25.
The man kept walking and hovered around every person that was standing bewildered and amazed at what they saw, that it appeared as though he was not even there. Like he was a ghost.
24.
Elliot strolled back and forth in front of where Chris lay. The crowd got more closer and closer. One of them stopped and the rest panned out, so that they surrounded Elliot. A massive circle covered Elliots surroundings and triggered the idea in his mind to feel brave, yet tolerant.
23.
The man’s boots crinkled and cracked as they broke the delicate glass pieces that were in and around where the door once stood. This made him more aware of the power Elliot possessed. But how he could manage that power was another question. In a way the glass reflected a side to Elliot that shouldn’t be reckoned with. At least not met with the same amount of ferociousness.
22.
Elliot stood vacant and defenceless as the large circle of tenacious delinquents grew with anger. Even though there were only a dozen of them, Elliot still felt able.
21.
The man saw Elliot and was aware of his enlightening grit and pursuit for justice. A young girl came running beside the man as he passed the teacher who was holding his mouth like he was going to throw up. He was sick of the tension that rose in the air and made him seem like he was suffocating. The young woman said something.
20.
Elliot heard Charlotte who stood behind him a few feet away. She had a red bruise around her right cheek which distracted his rational mind and made him feel weak. He wanted to know that she was alright; he had a sense of responsibility as he stared into her beautiful eyes. He had stopped pacing and turned so that he was away from the crowd.
19
Without a sound the man came into the ball court. All the other people’s eyes rested on Elliot. They held there hope with desperation as they believed the man was looking to swing at Elliot
18
The crowd grew impatient and one of them threw a carton of milkshake at Elliot.
17
It came at him with an unrelenting speed and pace that it seemed to blur as it came closer.
16
Elliot felt the pushed air of the milkshake and simply and delicately raised his hand behind him. Still gazing into Charlottes eyes
15
The carton split with a snap. A click. A clap. That echoed into Elliot’s ear. His face moved away from Charlottes beauty and looked at the snapping milkshake in slow motion.
14
He saw the simplicity of the white liquid explode in a fashion that overwhelmed his senses and gathered a white noise in his mind.
13.
The man bent down and dragged the tips of his fingers along the concrete as another carton was thrown at Elliot still looking at the milkshake flutter to the ground.
12.
The man then threw his arm up and out.
11.
The milkshake went up and over him. A long, skinny streak of white seemed to bend like a circle over him. Like a massive Mohawk
10.
Elliot looked from the ground up to the man who stood beside him.
9.
His heavy boots.
8.
His creased trousers.
7
The un-tucked shirt.
6
The loose tie.
5
Then his face: brown hair and bony features. Hair flicked at the front.
4
Then Elliot knew it was him. The white milkshake seemed to fly backwards away from the two.
3.
Then came a young man with such anger in his face that it creased his face like an old dog.
2.
The man lifted his other hand and clapped him straight in his freckled and creased face that it sent shivers down everyones spines. And the man fell to the ground
1.
Charlie asked “You fucking ready?” to Elliot and nodded.
