sister

days pass
and age masks
our pain and lies
our love and loss
one moves away
the other stays
time takes it all
and hides it
for another day
you said
'don't fear'
'we'll always 
'be here'.
remember
our fragile
lives we led
and how
easily
broken we
could find
ourselves.
i trusted you
and you, me.
together
we will find
peace.
bury
what once
was
for what
will come.
we were close
never able to
say what we
truly meant
but it was
close enough.
we fought
we laughed
we lied
we said 
things,
things that
other's didn't
know, or didn't
like. But that's
who we were.
we were sisters.
now we go
our separate
ways. i'll say
goodbye,
you'll say
hello, to a
new life.
but

be near.
