------------Bennie's POV---------------

The drive to the Lican residence was uneventful and I was grateful to be able to get some uninterrupted sleep for once.

It wasn't until we arrived that my father's voice woke me, "We're here. Get out of the car and carry our bags."

We had probably been driving for around twelve hours, and it was the longest we've gone without someone yelling at me, until now.

I blinked and stretched a few times.

They got out of the car and made their way to the entrance of the large mansion.

I took care not to stare and admire it for too long, in fear that my parents would catch me and bestow a punishment on me simply for not being fast enough.

I lifted my mother's shoe bag out of the car first, then my father's duffel bags and my bag.

I'd somehow managed to pile all of the new clothes and shoes into one bag and in the backpack were all of the other valuables I had, which weren't many.

I was just beginning to think of ways to carry all of the luggage into the house when a voice brought me from my thoughts, startling me.

"Need some help?" His deep voice chuckled and I turned to face him.

Instead I found myself looking into his broad chest, and he towered over me, his sunglasses blocking me from seeing his eyes.

I managed to pull a smile lathered in false happiness over my face before he spoke again.

"I'm Ace." He extended his hand, I shook it and responded with my name.

"Bennie."

He smiled. "You must be the new traveling omega's daughter. I'm the Alpha's son, one of many actually." He laughed as he offered his hand to carry one of the bags.

I remembered what my father had said about addressing the Lican family and their children.

I opened my mouth to answer and before I could, my father's voice was heard from behind me.

"Hey! Where are our bags we've been wait- Oh, I see you've met one of the Alpha's sons."

"Ace Lican," he introduced himself, "I was just asking Bennie here if she needed a hand."

Ace explained as he shook dad's hand.

"Pleasure to meet you son, I'm Ryan, Bennie's dad."

He said as he squeezed my shoulder a little too hard.

"Careful, if you squeeze to hard you'll break her." Ace laughed as dad released my shoulder and laughed along.

"That's the idea." He mumbled as he feigned laughter but his voice implied that his humor was bitter.

Ace looked over his shoulder and fist bumped another man.

"Hey! Oh sorry, Adrian this is Bennie and her father, Ryan, they're new."

Ace introduced us to another male who looked almost as tall as himself and their face shapes were similar.

"Ryan, Bennie, this is my annoying little twin brother, Adrian."

I raised my eyebrows, twins? They didn't even look very much alike.

"I know, there's little to no resemblance, but we've made it our life goal not to look like each other." Ace smiled playfully, nudging his brother with his elbow.

"Well, when you're done here bring our bags to the room, then go to your assigned room. We'll introduce you at dinner." My father spoke promptly to me before turning his back and storming back into the house.
