"There's no reason" She smiled, turning to her luggage and beginning to settle in. "Stop trying to figure me out, Cap"

He chuckled and walked to the chair in the room taking a load off, and kicking his feet up as well. "Now I know there's a reason you chose this room and I'm damn well gonna find it"

She couldn't help but laugh. He was just as predictable as she was. That's what happens when you've been friends with somebody for so long.

"Good luck" She remarked, a great big grin on her face. She loved talks with the Captain. It's almost ironic how they became friends in the first place. He was the meanest and hardest on her when she'd first joined. But of course, Fareeha wasn't one to give up easily and he appreciated that. Her ill will towards defeat and integrity is just what had won him over and since then, they've always been pals.

"So, I know you don't want to go on the subject but.." The Captain had started, but Fareeha had known immediately what he was going to say. It's the same thing everybody had been bothering her with before.

"Save it, please" She gave him a look before rolling her eyes. "I don't want to talk about it"

"I know, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry about your mother and all.. I know this is the place she was last seen before her.. disappearance.."

"I know" She sighed, trying to keep herself together. Fareeha had barely known her mother, not until she was grown and matured had they finally talked for the first time in a long time. She had vanished a couple years ago, having not been heard of since then. This was the last place she had been seen before the occurrence. Eventually, search teams gave up, by orders of Fareeha of course. She knew this must have been something her mother wanted, just like before. Her mother would return when and if she wanted to, knowing her she was keeping a low profile somewhere in the world.

"I'll leave you to the unpacking, but we're all going to dine with the villagers soon so if you want some food you better hurry. I'm not sure if they can make food faster than the gang will eat it" He tried to joke, hoping to lighten the mood. She laughed, of course, not wanting to make him feel bad. He took that as reassuring and departed, closing the door behind him.

Fareeha didn't go to the dinner. She decided that she needed time to think on her own and possibly just relax. She was attired in her pajamas and comfy slippers, lying on her bed. She opened up her journal, writing all about her day and looked back at her previous journeys she'd logged.

Tap.....
     .........Tap.........
...Tap...........

Her attention turned directly to the window, furrowing her eyebrows. What could be tapping on the window? She was on the bottom floor and there were no trees or anything of that matter. How odd..

She couldn't see herself sleeping at all tonight, having too much on her mind. There wasn't much to do, especially in a place that isn't necessarily your home.

'I'll go for a fly around' She thought to herself, 'I do miss the air, even if it hasn't been that long..'

Surely the Captain would be mad she was using the Raptora suit this late at night without reason, but she needed it. In the air, she felt free.

She headed to the lodge in which they kept their equipment and suits, and put on her Raptora Suit. It felt good to be back in it, she almost felt bare whenever she wasn't in it. Immediately, she blasted off, soaring through the skies.

The wind twirled her short hair around in all directions, sometimes even smacking her in the face. Her eyes closed softly as she breathed out, letting the breeze blow against her face. Something about how the air felt up here was different than the air near the ground. It was crisper up here, maybe, she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

She opened her eyes and looked towards the Black Forest. She found herself lowering, until her feet were just above the ground. It was almost pitch black, and everything was a lot more intimidating now. Her foot moved forward, and soon the other followed. Soon, she was fully walking now, striding into the feared forest. It wasn't as bad as everyone said. Fareeha wasn't one to let her fears control her, in fact, being head strong was one of her attributes.

The Forest was decorated in darkness, the trees booming above her and threatened to come alive at any sign of turning back. Her brown eyes wandered all around, looking at any and every detail. Oddly enough, she found the quietness peaceful.

Fareeha floated high enough to boost herself up to a tree branch, sitting on it and leaning against the bark. She closed her eyes, slightly nodding off but she fought against it for awhile. It didn't last long, and she finally fell fast asleep.
