Eleanor and Janiel entered the post office.

Eleanor was glad they were inside a solitary place.

Ever since they got off the bus, almost everyone in Quantico seemed to know who Janiel was.

It was greetings everywhere.

And Eleanor didn't recognize any of the people she was shaking hands with.

Everyone in Quantico was glad to shake hands with Janiel and The-Girl-Who-Was-Standing-Beside-Him.

"Got the key right?"

Eleanor reached in her short's pocket. She grabbed the key, and held it out for him to see.

Janiel nodded.

Eleanor examined the key.

"P.O. box # C210."

Janiel frowned, and then he pointed to another hallway.

"I guess it's over there."

They both walked to where Janiel had pointed to.

Eleanor closed her eyes. She took deep breaths as she tried to relax herself.

"Well, are you going to just stand there or are you going to open it?"

Eleanor unlocked it, her shaky hands barely managing to do anything right.

The box opened with a welcoming screech, startling Janiel, who was looking out the window, staring at a puppy running around a sprinkler.

Eleanor looked inside.

Janiel reached for a blue envelope that caught both of their attentions. Janiel read it out loud.

Finally. Wow, the bus took that long?

So Eleanor, sweety, made a friend yet?

I sure hope so, because I got you two tickets to Maryville, Tennessee! ❤️ Can't wait for you to get to Albuquerque!

so, for your next task...

Drum roll pleasee!

I have five books in this locker box.

You can't get on the next bus until you give them all to people you consider special. People that stand out in a crowd.

Unique people.

Do not get on the bus until you have given the books away,

May your friend be a witness.

The books are signed, so even better.

Make the people who received the books sign the paper in the envelope, and keep it.

...you will need the signed paper later on.

Until later. Love, Eugenia.

"This is lame. Why don't you just make up random names and write them yourself."

Eleanor shook her head.

"No, if I'm going to do this, I'm going to do it right!"

Janiel smiled, "I love your attitude."

Eleanor reached in the locker.

She got the five books out, and she noticed a neon-colored envelope on the bottom. She handed the books to Janiel, and she opened the envelope.

Meanwhile, Janiel was studying the first page on every book.

"Look El! They really are signed! That's so awesome, and they have a nice message and quote on it!"

At that moment, Eleanor opened the neon envelope. Two hundred dollars in twenties and two bus tickets to Maryville.

Eleanor studied the tickets.

They were purchased two years ago, yet they were still valid.

Janiel, who was peaking from Eleanor's shoulder, whistled.

"Wow, it's one of those fancy buses with tiny tv's, air conditioner, and a restroom!"

Eleanor turned to look at Janiel.

His face was lighten up, and he was jumping up and down.

"Come on El! Let's hurry with them books!"

Eleanor smiled at Janiel, "What books have you read the quotes from?"

"Uhh..." Janiel handed her three books, "Only from those."

Eleanor smiled as she grabbed one of the two books he hadn't read the quote from yet, and she handed him the sheet that came in the envelope. "Sign this Janiel, pretty please!"

Janiel seemed surprised. "What, why?"

Then Eleanor held up one of the books he hadn't read the quote from yet, shaking it in the air, grinning gleefully. "This one's for you!"

Janiel smiled.

He signed the paper, and Eleanor handed him the book. He hugged it, and he read the quote out loud with pride and enthusiasm, "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal."

Eleanor smiled, "Albert Pine."

Janiel looked up at Eleanor, "How'd you know?"

Eleanor smiled, "I do a lot of reading."

She handed him a hundred bucks. "Emergency money, save it for the road, we might need it."

Janiel nodded as he shoved them in his pocket. "Let's go El. Um, you'll stay at my place today, and tomorrow we'll go to, um, museums, and, parks, and, um, bookstores...you know, So we can, um, you know, um, find the five people."

Eleanor nodded. She closed the box, and they walked out the post office.
