Eleanor was stuck in yet another nightmare. It was the day Janiel had invited her to the movies. It was the day before she woke up barely alive in a hospital. She was shaking angrily. No, angry is no match to express what she felt. It was rage.
It was just a dream, and she knew it. But she did remembered. She remembered it all so clearly. Maybe her father didn't wanted to tell her so she wouldn't freak out, but thanks to what Juliet had told her - it helped her remove the memory of the accident from the very back of the highest shelf and bring it back to the front- for Eleanor to remember. It was Janiel. Janiel Keen. He did this to her, and now he was going to pay.
Eleanor removed her blankets with determination. And she searched for her clothes in every crevice of the room.
They weren't there.
She turned on the tv to check on the time.
She really hoped Juliet would come by any minute now.
................................................................
Juliet woke up really early. She always did.
She looked under her bed, where Violet lay curled up in a tiny fluffy white ball of fur.
"Come on Vio!"
The tiny Maltese immediately woke up. It's tiny tail moving everywhere like a petite propeller.
Juliet let out a laugh, as she strapped the pink extra-small leash to Violet's outfit.
"Let's go for our daily walk girl."
After they had gotten back from the park, Juliet locked Violet in Juliet's apartment, and she left to pay Eleanor a visit.
................................................................
Eleanor waited eagerly. She could almost hide the evil grin forming in her face.
Finally a familiar knocking on the door came.
And a perky Juliet came in.
"Hey Elly-Steady. How's the cutest ill girl in the whole wide world doing?"
Eleanor smiled. "Hey Jules."
"Oh my God, I can't wait for you to get out of here, I've told Violet about you, and she is so impatient to meet you!"
"Who's Violet?"
"My Baby girl."
"You have a daughter?"
"No silly-Willy, my Maltese. She's, this tiny, " she said, as she demonstrated Violet's size with both her hands.
"Aw, I'm dying to see her."
Then Eleanor's eyes lit up.
"You know, we should ask my doctor, maybe it's okay for me to finally leave this hospital! We can have a sleepover, and popcorn, No no no, you know what we'll do! We'll go see that movie you wanted to see."
"But you have to read the book first..."
"Do you have it?"
"Yeah. Let me go bring it." Then she half whispered to herself, "You'll love it, it's so sad. No one ever imagined the boy dies."
Juliet was halfway out the door when Eleanor added, "Oh and bring me clothes as well! I'll try to convince the doctor while you come back."
"Okay."
................................................
Eleanor had convinced the doctor, as she had planned.
Now she was waiting impatiently for sweet Jules to bring her Eleanor's clothes, and Eleanor will finally be able to get even with Janiel.
There was the dulcet symphony of Juliet's knocking.
And Juliet walked inside.
There were a thousand little things that told Eleanor something was wrong.
Jules walked inside. Not skipped, walked.
She was bitting her lower lip, and she did not say a single word when she entered.
She walked sliding her feet reluctantly, as if she didn't even had the strength or will to pick up her feet when walking.
She gripped so hard on the folded clothes She was carrying with her. The kind of griping you will do to cease any pain.
A drop of sweat trickled from her temple, down her jawline.
She gulped loudly.
Her eyes darted from one side of the room to the opposite side.
Eleanor was about to ask why Jules is so nervous.
But she kept her mouth shut when she saw Janiel walking behind Juliet.
A barely visible gun pointed at her gut.
He entered the room as well, and he locked the door behind him.
Juliet mouthed something to Eleanor, but she could not tell what it was.
Janiel smirked at Eleanor.
"Surprise Surprise. I heard you were looking for me."
