Nasunod ang plan namin ni Ate Rosa Mae.

Nagpasama sya kay onii-san sa mall habang kami naman sa bahay, mag-aayos para sa surprise mamaya.

I asked Ate Rosa Mae to invite the sacristans. Kasama na si TJ dun, of course.

I just thought na I have to do this para kay onii-san.

While me, I invited his high school and college friends.

The sacristans are here already. Including TJ. Nagbbusy-busy-han ako para di nya ko makausap.

His high school and college friends were already here too.

Everything is already settled. Si birthday boy na lang ang kulang.

Meanwhile, Ate Rosa Mae texted me na pauwi na sila.

It's 3 in the afternoon when they got home.

Onii-san got surprised when he saw us. I saw a huge smile on his face.

He thanked us all and he hugged me, nanny and okaa-san tight.

I was in the kitchen all the time after the surprise. Iniiwasan kong tingnan si TJ in all that I might.

Now, I can hear them singing. The sacristans and onii-san's friends sure are having fun in our living room.

"Why are you here? Show them what you got Nami!" Okaa-san said as she saw me watching tv in the kitchen.

"Makipagkantahan ka rin sa kanila dun!" Nanny was just behind okaa-san.

"I don't like." I muttered.

Onii-san went in the kitchen.

"Atsushi! Ayain mo nga 'tong kapatid mo dun." Okaa-san said.

"Okaa-san, wag nyo nang pilitin si Nami. Hindi yan pupunta sa living room kahit ano pang mangyari." Onii-san said.

"Why Nami? Is there something wrong?" Okaa-san asked.

"It looks like our Nami is sad." Nanny commented.

"You don't have to do this Nami. Ikaw tuloy nagsusuffer. Pero I appreciate all of your efforts." Onii-san said. He messed my hair and left.

"Princess..." okaa-san called.

I just looked at her.

"What's wrong baby? Can you please tell us? We're family here. Remember?"

I turned off the television and faced them.

I told nanny and okaa-san everything.

"It wasn't his fault. It wasn't your fault too. You just have to accept the reality." Okaa-san said.

"Kung kayo talaga para sa isa't isa Nami, magiging kayo at gagawa ng paraan ang tadhana para dun." Nanny said.

I took a deep breath.

"Thanks okaa-san and nanny. I just don't like to see him e. It hurts so much."

"Your studies ha? Baka mapabayaan mo dahil sa kakaisip mo sa kanya." Okaa-san reminded me.

"I won't. I promise. I can still remember my promise to otou-san and I will not break my promise to him."

"What promise?" Nanny and okaa-san asked in chorus.

"That I will graduate as summa cum laude."

Sometimes I think I can't but when I graduated as our class valedictorian, I thought of this: Everything is possible especially if you knew you worked hard for it and prayed harder.
