~Chapter TwentyFour~

(Sarah pov)

Elena looked at Mason with so much love. I knew my thoughts were correct at that moment. She held the baby close to her chest and bounced him lightly just enough so he would stop crying. My lips went up into a slight smile when I saw he being so mothering to a baby that wasn't even her own.

"Elena I want to talk to klaus and you about a really serious matter." I declared randomly, she looked up to me with her bright eyes

"Okay Sarah go ahead, we are all ears." Klaus claimed as he sat on the chair in the corner of the room

"You see I don't plan on keeping Mason, he will be going up for adoption. I would rather have him not go to complete strangers, so I was wondering if you guys would like to be his new mom and dad?" I cautioned broadly

Elena looked me straight in the eyes for what seemed like forever until she finally sope up and said "I would love to but are you sure about this?"

"I have been sure about this since I was about 3 months pregnant. Elena I would love for you and Klaus to be Mason's parents." i responded knowing I was sure about my decision

Elena ran up and hugged me as now the baby was in klaus's hands. Elena had tears coming down her face. Happiness spread through me as something good was finally good to come.

(Ace pov)

I tried opening my eyes but they wouldn't. It was like they were stuck shut. I heard everything around me. Embers screams for help still echo through my head. No matter how much I tried nothing worked until everything started functioning in my body. My eyes shot open and the bright light shot through me.

I realized I wasn't tied down anymore and I got straight up. Ember laid on the ground with her bloody neck, everything was healed but blood still stained her pale neck. Tears streamed down my face onto Embers stained shirt. Laughing echoed the room, I turned my head and there stood Ethan staring at me with the cockiest look.

"She is finally dead and of course you're next." Ethan gawked

"I will kill you for what you have down!" I screamed and then I started running towards him. Ethan's hand went straight into my chest, he gripped my heart and pulled it out of my chest.

(Kol pov)

Emilia and I sat at the mexican resturant just eating some chips and salsa. We laughed at each other, we both almost cried multiple times. Simple fun together was all we needed at the moment. Emilia told me about everything that went down with Elijah and it broke my heart. Then what shined a light on this situation was having her laugh all her problems away for now.

Emilia and I walked down the street with not one thought of anything bad that has been happening. That was until we got a call;

"Kol I need you right now!" Ember screamed through the phone

"Ember slow down tell me whats wrong?" I responded trying to slow her down

"Something is different, i'm pretty sure i'm in transition! Please get her! Kol I will explain when you get here!" Ember cried harder

I looked at emilia and she was already at the car. I put the car into drive and sped my way through traffic.

Emilia and I ran into the warehouse and smelt dead body. I ran into the room it was coming from and I instantly saw ace and his ripped out heart on the ground. I heard another source of breathing coming from the closet. I opened the doors and saw Ember standing there with her blood and mascara stained face and clothes. She slowly walked out of the closet and fell right into my arms. I picked her up and ran her to the car. I placed her in the passenger seat and checked to see if anything else was wrong. There was nothing except her silent sniffles from her still crying.

I looked her in the eyes and compelled her to go to sleep. Embers head fell to the side of the chair. I brushed her hair out of her face and let her slowly fall into sleep. I clicked the keys on the car and locked the door. Emilia stood behind the car just breathing hard but no tears.

"Emilia are you okay?" I worried

"No but I will recover." Emilia promised then got into the back seat

We drove off; Emilia sitting silently, Ember sleeping but still shaking and me plotting my revenge for what had happened here today.
