✨ Final day ✨
By the 5th day, Taehyung couldn't take it anymore. He was practically dead. He wished he was dead. He wished he hadn't cheated on Jungkook and had been honest with him from the start. He wished he didn't bring Jin into this mess. He wished his baby got a chance to live happily. There was a lot of good in the world too. He wished-
Wishes?
They don't come true.
He wondered where the angel was. The angel that had granted him a second chance. Did he know this was going to happen? Did the angel know that you can't escape from the past no matter how hard you try? Did he want to show Taehyung that your decisions affect everyone and anyone that you've crossed paths with? Or did he want to show Taehyung that death is inevitable, that no matter how much you try to save someone from falling, they will eventually fall and all you can do is accept it? Maybe this life isn't as beautiful as we all assume it to be, we might be feeling on top of the world at one point and then crashing the next but this is how we learn and move on.
Moving on.
A thing that Jungkook couldn't do. A thing that Taehyung couldn't do. A thing that they all feared to do. They feared it as they couldn't let go of the people they were in love with. Love: a strong feeling of affection. Is that affection worth it, if someone else will be unhappy? Truthfully none of us wants to understand the third person's feelings because we are selfish and love makes us that way. If we were given a second chance.... Would you grasp it? Even after knowing that a single chance could affect the person you are today? Taehyung laughed. Why was he thinking of these things... he couldn't change them, there was no point on dwelling on things that had already happened and will happen.
That's why he had to do it.
He had been paying mind to the one single bulb in the room, he had only noticed it there today. With different scenarios running through his mind Taehyung tried once again. He gripped the rope that Jungkook had tied him with and made a noose. The other end he put on the light bulb that hung above his head. He wobbled a bit but managed to place it there without much difficulty. Smiling to himself he knew what he had to do...
He loved the feeling of the rope tightening against his oesophagus, it felt heavenly, it felt safe.
With a soft goodbye, he brought the rope to his neck and said his last farewell.
Jungkook you won.
