CHAPTER 19
Impending End
"—yung?"
"H-Huh?"
"I've been calling your name for the past minute, are you alright?" Jimin worriedly asked the startled boy right in front of him. "You should shower next if you want us to leave early."
Taehyung gently shook his head and removed the towel from his shoulder. "Jimin I think you should join your mother to go shopping. I don't think I can celebrate with you for tonight."
"Why?" Jimin casually asked to not sound like a kid who didn't get what he wanted. "That's not a good thing to wrap up your birthday party. Are you tired?"
"I just need to think about... things." Taehyung sighed. He knew he can't go somewhere and have fun with his conscience striking his mind.
"Okay, I understand." Jimin nodded and grabbed a shirt from his closet while opening his phone to contact his mother. "I'll help my mom and just watch the fireworks with you tomorrow, is that okay?"
"Of course."
Once Jimin was out of sight, Taehyung locked the door and plopped down on his bed and hugged his pillow that he always kept close.
He raised his wrists up and quickly removed the brand new watch Jimin gave.
"What was I thinking?" he told himself as he looked for something on his bedside drawer.
It was the bracelet Jungkook gave.
"K-Kookie..." he tried to call out to nobody. The instant he said his past lover's name, unstoppable tears started to fall down from his eyes. "I swore to never hurt you even though you've hurt me a lot of times unintentionally, just because you only love and attention. But looking at our situation right now, I am intentionally breaking your heart."
Taehyung cried himself to sleep that night. But this time, not because of Jungkook. But because of his own actions that he wanted to fix.

The next morning, everyone at the dormitory was busy preparing for the countdown for new years eve.
Some students and workers left to spend the holidays with their loved ones, while the remaining decided to put up a fireworks show, just as Jimin said, at 12:00 am for them to enjoy.
Barbecues and delicious dishes will be served. And because majority of the students residing in the dormitory are legal, the dorm eating area even opened a small bar and karaokes.
Everybody was cleaning their respective rooms while the others were helping out the staffs to prepare and clean the lobby area.
Though some students stayed in their beds to sleep, and one of those 'students' is Taehyung.
