Ding Dong

The bell of the Sawada residence rang.

"Tsunayoshi-kun!" Nana rushed out to hug her once-a-baby tuna. "Mama missed you so much!"

"Mom," Tsuna shoved Nana's hand away politely from his suffocated face. "I had only left for 3 days."

Tsuna doesn't really live in the Japanese Vongola mansion. Well, it was mostly because of Nana. Not to mention, Tsuna is still a teenager. He will still need time to spend with his loving mother before stepping completely into the mafia world. He would still spend a couple of nights in the mansion sometimes. It seems like no matter how old he is, paperworks are no exception.

"You see, mama cooked your favorite dinner tonight!" Nana brushed her hand across her cheeks, revealing a warm and soft smile of a loving mother.

"Thanks, mom. I'll have it later. Reborn has been killing me with paperworks lately." Tsuna said as he walked in his totally ordinary room like a dying grandpa.

The brunette turned the door knob, only to see his best friends and guardians already trashing and infesting the room. It was hectic. Let's say... chaotic.

Gokudera greeted Tsuna first as he came in. He was talking with Yamamoto before it. They were talking about training (and Gokudera mostly tried to convince everyone that he's Tsuna right-hand-man).

It seems like Ipin and Lambo got into a fight. Lambo lost, tried to stay calm, and failed. He's now crying on Tsuna's mysteriously half-broken bed, leaving several spots disgustingly wet with his tears and snot.

Wait, that's Kyoko and Haru! Why are they in my room too? What are they laughing at? A book? Hey! That's my diary! QAQ

Tsuna tilted his head around looking for the others. It seems Hibari, Chrome and Mukuro aren't there. It only took him 3 seconds before closing the door back. Then, he just stared at the door.

"What the heck?" Tsuna sighed with a confused smile.

Tsuna's door opened once again with his friends popping out their heads, calling him to come back in. No reason to refuse, he went back in.

"So what brings you all here?" Tsuna scratched the back of his head.

"We came to play!" Lambo laughed before Gokudera shoved the stupid cow away.

"-IS what we want to say," he paused for a while to arrange his words. He then return his eye contact on his boss and continued, "It's about the enemy mafia attack in Italy."

Tsuna rang a bell.

"You mean the one Reborn was called into?"

Everyone but Yamamoto tilted their confused-looking head. It seemed like nobody received the news about Reborn's departure. Yamamoto, on the other hand, has heard from Tsuna through the phone call with Reborn himself.

"Reborn is in Italy?" Lambo pouted, thinking he was left behind by Reborn to play by himself. Oh, Lambo. You never grow up. (Well, not yet)

"If the main headquarters would call Reborn-san like that, it must be a very threatening case." Gokudera said, looking down with a serious face. Everyone got caught up thinking too.

Tsuna waved his arms a little to get his friends' attention. "I-I'm sure it'll be okay. I mean, it's Reborn we're talking about!"

"Y-yeah! And you can get some free time, Juudaime!" Gokudera congratulated.

"Good for you, Tsuna." Yamamoto laughed.

The window suddenly opened, only to reveal a small figure entering the room. It was Verde. He was in his usual lab coat and brought a briefcase about his size. With his cool act he posed Verde style, not caring for all the eyes looking all confused at him.

"I am your tutor from now on. I will act as a substitute for Reborn's absence." Verde directly explained. Tsuna can't help but skip a heartbeat before realizing the dangers that are waiting for him, no matter who his tutor is. He can't escape his fate of being tutored and tortured.

Tsuna stood up. "Now what makes you the one to decide?"

Verde pulled a sheet of paper out of his little briefcase. He handed it to Tsuna. It seemed to be a listed report for the substitution of Reborn.

Tsuna scanned his eyes to the paper slightly then looked back on Verde. He imagined all the deadly possibilities that he might experience, but his mind went back to remembering Reborn instead. His deadly ways of tutoring just left dark memories in the brunette.

"You were just thinking about Reborn, didn't you?" Verde smirked.

Tsuna gulped. Well, technically he just did. The brunette chose to stay silent as Verde walked closer to him.

"Don't worry. I'm not as... rough... as Reborn. You'll be happy under my tutoring." Verden grinned. Such relieving words and such big lies. Everybody knows Verde won't help out with something if he doesn't seek anything in it.

All the guardians have been giving Verde variant looks. Some looked suspicious. Some seemed confused. Can they really trust this mad scientist?
