Reality.

So when you think of doing something for so long you think of all of the possible scenarios in which it could actually happen. I came out recently to my parents and some friends. It was limited for friends because it is summer.
I kind of had some idea of would be more accepting then others. I was actually really surprised at the out come. I have not heard one negative thing yet from any of my friends, even the one whose family is severely homophobic. My parents are a whole different story. I gave my mom the letter and she shared it with my dad. I had a conversation with her about a week later. I brought up pronouns and going by my middle name but she hasn't used either. I don't know if she even told my dad either of those things so I don't know what to do about them.
My friends are supportive though and have been trying. I have to give reminders sometimes, but I understand.
