What the fuck... "Wait let me get this straight. You expect me to believe that you're the Headmistress at a school for female spies."

She nods.

I start laughing, like wild and out on the floor laughing.

I hear the women sigh. "Kayoko, I understand that you find it hard to believe what I say. We will leave you information if you decide to think about it."

I hear the click of the door when they leave.

I stand up and brush off my skinny jeans. It's a book that has my name on it.

I climb up on my roof with a flashlight and the book that Aril gave me to look over.

It's midnight, the time my parent's usually start screaming at each other about me.

I turn on the flash light and flip to the first page.

I look over the P.S part. The family thing isn't very hard, they don't love me anyway. But the boy part.....

I hear rustling and I practically pee in my pants.

Joey's head pops up next to me.

"Jesus Joey you almost scared me into a coma."

He laughs and pulls himself up on the roof. He sits next to me and huffs out a deep breath.

"What's up?"

I smile. "Not much just stressed as usual."

Joey is my best friend. I have no idea why the hell he's so found of me, but he is. He hates it when I say anything negative about myself. He gives me good advice, he laughs at all my jokes, and he makes me happy when I'm sad.

I'm obviously in love with the boy and he knows, he told me he has feelings for me too but both our lives are complicated right now. That and he has a girlfriend and his parents hate me.

"Sneaking out again Joey?"

He nods. "You know it."

"Shame on you." I say and we both laugh.

I lay my head on his shoulder. "So what's up with my bottom bitch today?"

I laugh. "Well I didn't make much money for you, daddy."

We both laugh.

"I'm running away." I say quietly.

"What did you say?"

I take my head of his shoulder, look into his eyes and repeat my statement. "I'm running away."

I see the panic automatically fill his eyes. "K.C. no you can't leave."

"Well I can't stay either."

"What about your family?"

"What do they care? They are too worried about how I'm messing up they're blue blood image. They'll probably be happy I left."

"You're the daughter of the biggest lawyer and doctor in the world. People will be looking for you."

"They won't find me." I say, getting up.

He gets up with too and stands right in front of me so all I see is his eyes, all I feel is the warmth of his body. "If you won't stay for them then stay for me Katrina," He calls me by the name I was born with, I changed my name after the hurricane. He's the only one that I let call me that name. "I need you."

I shake my head. "I can't, just you isn't enough, Joey. I can't stay someplace that I know I don't belong.

He sighs."When are you leaving?"

Technically today. At five A.M

He lets out a long hard breath and then he kisses my lips ever so softly.

"Don't ever forget me." He whispers to me and then he slides down the drain on the side of my house and I watch him run off.

I back the last of my cloths and zip up my back pack. My boxer, Bentley, looks up at me with puppy dog eyes. "Don't look at me like that. We both knew this day was coming." I whisper.

He wines and I pet him. "Don't worry I'm not leaving you with the aliens. C'mon boy, it's time to escape."

He fallows me downstairs. I take grab Bentley's favorite chew toy and we leave. Bentley stays glued to my side as I run to Joey's house. I throw rocks at his window. When he looks out I wave him down.

"Kayoko What-

I hand Joey the chew toy. "I need you to take care of Bentley. Can you do this for me?"

He nods then he and Bentley both look at me with sad eyes. "I wish you wouldn't leave." Joey says.

"If only life had turned out different." I smile then turn to walk away.

Bentley barks at me but I keep walking. I can't turn back, not now, not ever.
