Dad replied to his friend, thanking him for helping us. I don't do eavesdropping because that is not my personality trait, but the question that my father asked his friend caught my attention. Napalingon ako sa direkyon nila ni Dr. Clemente. 

"Have you checked on the driver? Kumusta na ang kondisyon niya?"

"He is still in critical condition. He broke his back, so he will need to undergo vertebroplasty."

Nagpaulit-ulit ang usapan nina papa at ng kaibigan niya sa aking utak hanggang sa napabuntong-hininga ako dahil sa matinding pag-iisip.

It was a busy afternoon of Saturday when I left our home to head to our school. I left to take the entrance exam for Les Varde University, my current university's sister school. As much as I don't want to go out of our house, I have no choice but to attend the examination day. I can't miss the opportunity. I mean, we're talking about Les Varde. I took LVU's entrance examination for 12th grade. I have decided to transfer to LVU because my parents are about to leave the country, and I don't want them to worry about me being alone at our home in Hecklon.

Dapat sa college ako kukuha ng entrance exam ng LVU, pero dahil kinakailangan na ng mga magulang ko umalis patungo sa ibang bansa, napag-isipan kong lumipat sa Drudgens City, kung nasaan si tita Carmela, ang nag-iisang kapatid ni papa.

I heard a lot of great and amusing stories about Drudgens. Papa used to spoil me with his adventures in that city dahil iyon ang kinalakihan n'yang siyudad. Umalis lamang siya sa Drudgens noong nakapasa siya sa medical board exam at nagsimula magtrabaho bilang doktor.

It happened that LVU is located in Drudgens City kaya naisipan ko na rin kumuha ng entrance examination ngayon pa lang nang sa gayon ay mas mataas ang tyansa na makapasok ako sa LVU pagdating ng kolehiyo.

Before taking the exam, we were told that we have to be interviewed by LVU's staff. Medyo nagulat pa ako nung una. I wasn't prepared for it. Pero ano pa nga ba ang magagawa ko?

Napalunok ako nang tawagin ang aking pangalan. Tumayo ako mula sa pagkakaupo ko sa silya. The others cheered for me kaya nagawa kong ngumiti kahit papaano. Iginiya ako ng prof sa silid kung nasaan ang staff na mag-iinterview.
