"You're going to remember this day for the rest of your life. The rest of your life, and you decided to go to bed without pants on."

"I didn't think you would be barging into the room at the crack of dawn." I mumbled, eyes squinted against the fluorescent light beating down on my face. "I thought only girls did that for weddings."

"I was put in charge of making sure that this day is perfect for Liv, so I'm going to make sure that her groom is there in one piece and on time." Patrick huffed, "And I got up two hours ago, so I don't want to hear any attitude from you."

I mumbled some choice words for my fiance's best friend under my breath, sitting up slowly. I had stayed in a hotel room for the night before my wedding, giving Olivia full access to the $4 million home we would be sharing in just a few hours. She was incredibly superstitious, and had decided that we couldn't wake up next to each other on our wedding morning. That counted as seeing the bride on the wedding day.

So, being the gentleman that I hoped I always was, I had opted for a five-star hotel evening, conveniently forgetting to tell my beloved that I got free room service while she had to deal with making her own dinner the night before.

Being an international pop star had its perks.

I kicked my feet over the side of the bed, keeping myself covered with the blanket as Patrick went to go fetch me some pants. Sleeping without pants was a comfort thing for me; it wasn't as if I had been planning on giving my fiance's best friend a show the morning of my wedding.

He threw me a pair of boxers and a pair of sweatpants and I stood up, pulling them on and jumping a bit to get them in a comfortable position on my legs. I turned around to begin my morning, despite having planned on beginning it two hours later.

"I'm going to run downstairs and get some breakfast." Patrick informed me. "When I come back, I want you to have been showered already. We don't have much time."

"It's 6:00 in the morning!" I shouted at his back, "We have six hours!"

But the door slammed behind him and I was then yelling at nobody.

I rolled my eyes and trudged into the bathroom, stopping in my tracks before I reached the door.

I had brought a framed photograph of Olivia and I to the hotel with me, so I would still have her with me when we were apart. My mood was immediately lifted when I looked at the picture; it had been taken a year and a half ago, at a block party hosted by our neighborhood. I had twigs in my hair and Olivia had a leaf stuck to her shirt, but we were both grinning from ear to ear.

It had been the day I revealed to her that I knew her past. Our past.

My sour mood had vanished upon seeing her beautiful face, and I practically jumped into the shower, ready to begin preparations for the wedding. There was nothing that we couldn't do, Olivia and I. We were soulmates.

I washed myself from head to toe, scrubbing to ensure that I didn't miss a spot. It was my wedding day. I was getting married to the girl I had been in love with for almost five years now.

It seemed like it had been a lifetime already.

I wrapped a towel around my waist and headed for the sink, brushing my teeth and giving myself a quick smile in the mirror. When I was younger I had always seen celebrities do that in the movies; they grinned at themselves whenever they got the chance. So naturally, I had to do the same. I figured it came with the territory.

I found the same pair of sweatpants that Patrick had thrown at me and pulled them on before running my fingers through my hair and going back out into the bedroom. Patrick was waiting for me.
