Felicity’s POV: A man I recognized but did not know, was staring at me. He a was in a mask and was standing next to Douglas. I had a bad feeling about all of this. Then Douglas spoke, “Hello Felicity. Long time no see.” “What have you done with everyone?” I asked. “Nothing yet…to your friends.” Douglas chuckled. “I have Donald and Leo trapped. They won’t be able to help.” He cackled. “You monster!” I yelled. “Don’t worry sweetheart, I’ll get to them first.” He replied. He gestured at the masked man. The man created electricity and he was aiming at me. Terrified, I flew away, my jaw wide open. When he shot it, there was no effect. Then, I realized it was just a hologram. It looked so real. I started flying once more. I was thinking it was strange: there was another bionic? And why were people referring to my siblings as friends? Most importantly, why did that computer say Crane? I was lost, confused and angry. I got to the Davenports’ home, faster than I had ever flown before. Adrenaline coursed through me. Could they be dead? No, not Chase! I imagined his motionless body on the floor as I wept over him. No, I couldn’t afford to think like that. I had to be strong. Although I was everything but strong, for Chase, I would have to stay strong.I was literally shocked when I got to the Davenports’ seeing no one there. I choked back a sob. Was Douglas right? Had he destroyed all of them? Just as I was looking around, the monitor Eddy usually was in caught my attention. The screen flickered and was replaced by a man. I bit back a scream. Behind him were Chase, Bree, Adam, and my siblings. Diana was on the ground, holding her leg so I knew something was wrong immediately. “Hey Felicity…” said the man. Why did I recognize him? Finally, I knew why. He was the masked man. His posture was the biggest clue. Why did I recognize that smile though? I had never actually seen him before. I growled at him. “What have you done with my friends and family?” I demanded. “Leave them alone!” “No!” I heard Chase scream from behind the man. Edward looked dazed as his eyes connected to the screen. Bree and Adam…I didn’t even want to see how they looked. They looked fine though. Though something else shocked me. A girl, blond, stood around Douglas. I recognized her. But I didn’t know how. Had I seen her before? Was she someone I knew when I was younger? I had no idea. “Oh, darling,” The man said, but his tone was anything but sympathetic, “we can do anything we want with your little friends. Though I can assure you that none of your family members are at harm.” He cackled like it was an inside joke. I gave him a look of despise. “Here’s how it’s going to go down —” I warned him but all he did was laugh. I was serious. I was going to burst in there and save my friends. My chances of survival were small, but at this point, who cared? I needed to save them. My friends, my family, and most importantly, the people who I would give my life to protect. “Don’t try to be all ‘tough girl’ on me.” The man warned. His tone was even more serious than mine. “If you want, you might as well come down here and —” He suddenly scowled at me. He snapped his fingers and before I knew it, the girl, rushing at speeds I had never seen before, ran at Chase and did something. He crumpled to the ground. I covered my mouth, leaning forward, almost into the screen. Not Chase! “Leave him alone!” I shouted. The girl turned and for a moment, I was surprised by her complexions. They reminded me of someone. But the name slipped my mind. The man sighed before smirking at me. “Well then Felicity, will you come down here or allow your friends to rot?” And the screen shut off. I was left with myself, staring at the walls, tears threatening to spill out. I clenched my fists. No. I would stay strong. I could save them. I could. I stood up, brushing off my pants. Someone was going to have to save them, and at this time, it would be me. I was their only hope and I was going to save them, despite the price.
