Chapter 17: Training And Sasori

Things had become very normal between me and Deidara ever since I turned him down or whatever you could call it

He wasn't flustered around me anymore, and I think I appreciated it

I know its mean to say it

But I'm sorta glad I turned him down and got over this

And I'm not even sure if he fully even liked me, he could've just been confused and realized it 

Well, to be fair, I was having a hard time too, so he's not the only one who was suffering or anything 

And Itachi wasn't bothered about Deidara or Tobi doing whatever they were in his room, and he still doesn't know that Deidara had kissed me

So, I feel like I'm on the safer side now for some reason, and Dei too 

"Training?" I asked, a little bewildered, I put the Sharingan and History book down and looked at Itachi 

"Yes, I think it will benefit us and Pain sama has also allowed it, so I think it'll be alright" He said, without a slightest hint of emotion

I blinked a few times Is this a good idea? I asked myself, staring at the ground now, cause I could use this as an advantage

"So your answer is?" He asked "well, whatever you choose, I'll still have to abide with what Pain sama said"

"Alright" I said, making up my mind "Yes, sure" I said, more firmly this time

"Good, then we'll start tomorrow, and you have free access to the outside training room, if you need to go there anytime, since its usually occupied, there's no way of escaping from there" He said, taking his leave

I wasn't really planning on escaping or so he said

So instead of going back to the book, I used up my little free time going out to the training grounds, I had gotten a little used to the routes in this place now, so I was alright 

Yet again, I was surprised by the afternoon sun, the grass and the outside world, It had been a while, since I'd only visited once with Hidan and had the encounter with Deidara

But this time, the ground was empty, I only saw trails of red hair, immediately realizing that it was Sasori 

It had been a while since I'd seen him, he wasn't exactly the sociable type, well lots of the members of the Akatsuki weren't

I walked over to him, he was sweating, a lot, well who trains in the afternoon anyways? its sunny as hell here

He was only in mesh pants, training with puppets, and used chakra strings, it looked like it took a lot of concentration since he barely noticed me until I cleared my throat

"Oh, its you" He said, not glancing at me

"A "hi" or something could've worked you know" I said, making a face at him 

He just shrugged and the chakra strings disappeared, his puppets fell to the ground, I watched him train for a while, sitting on the grass, I watched him gently pull on the strings, making them move slowly and then faster, it looked so.....graceful? 

I glanced across the ground, looking at all the training equipment, there were thousands of bundled up Kunai, paper bombs and Shuriken for training, training posts

"You know, I was wondering, why the hell do you guys have Archery equipment here?" I pointed towards the bows and arrows 

He panted a little "It helps with accuracy, especially when using kunai and shuriken, aiming and accuracy is always important in battle" He said, wiping his head with the back of his hand 

"I see" I said, faintly, standing up and walking to the bullseye, I picked up the bow and arrow, pushing it along the bow string, pointing it directly towards the bullseye, and let go 

It didn't move at all 

I tried again, once more to be certain

It didn't move again

I heard a laugh from behind, I whipped around, glaring at Sasori "Its not as easy as you think" I said, heated, and also surprised because I'm sure I've never seen Sasori laugh at all

"Sure it is, if you know how to use it properly" He said, striding up to me

"Well, give it a try then" I said, handing it to him

"Sure you want me to embarass you?" He asked 

"Like I could care less if you can shoot an arrow and I can't" I said "besides, I wouldn't feel anything like embrassment" 

Yeah, I'm a liar aren't I?

"But you were sure to show it when I kissed you, remember?" He said, almost smirking

And a very bad one at that

He adjusts the arrow perfectly onto the bow string, not a second or step wasted, he shot

And it squarely hit the middle of the bullseye

"You're pretty good at it" I remarked, as he went to pull the arrow out 

"I'm alright, I guess" He said, handing it over to me "I could give you a little basic since you're not even the slightest bit good at it" 

"Gee, thanks for the compliment" I said, sarcastically, rolling my eyes

"Stand on from your side" He said, as I held I bow, he lifted my elbow just a little, and adjusted the arrow properly onto the bow string this time unlike I did before, he stood right beside me, helping me hold the bow up "Okay, deep breath" I could feel his breath on my neck, it was warm, I felt myself blush just a little 

Too close

I stared right ahead and let go of the string, it hit, not exactly perfectly into the middle, but just a few inches away 

"Wow, I really hit it!" I almost yelled, I admit, it made me happy hitting that bullseye "And..uh thanks for helping me out" I don't look at him 

"Yeah, whatever" He said, turning away

I could feel my shirt being a little wet, since his body was racked with sweat, it was sort of against mine 

He just gave me a small smile before heading on

Weird....I felt my heart skip a beat
